Epilogue
Rob, Deb & Tash: The justification for my existence.
ABOUT THE BOOK COVER
The book covers comprise family, relatives, and friends, who by wearing their masks have shown the gravity and seriousness of the pandemic, COVID 19, in which we live today. While a, ‘Thank You’, must be given to all, some of these pictures represent doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and others, who are on the front line of our fight against this virus. These heroic people have placed their lives on the line, without much fanfare or rewards, but just a dedication to duty, parallel to any front-line military. These few, these brave few, represent a much larger group worldwide. Their place on this book cover, it is hoped, will be testimony, throughout our history, to their commitment to saving humanity.
THANK YOU.
PROLOGUE
TWO-FACE, is a follow up to the first novel, FACE. In Guyana, South America, two-face is a derogatory description reserved for those who will say something to your face, but will turn around, then change the information to another. A two-face person cannot be trusted.
However, two-face in this circumstance, represent the circumstance in which the world is living today. Outdoors, to the public at large, we are masked, with half of our faces showing, to prevent infection from this contagion called COVID 19. At home, we show our complete face since our home would be free, hopefully, of the virus.
Comments about the human condition, usually humorous, and the general state of the world, especially the political side should be expected, However, the book is making observations about a dramatic phenomenon of which very few of us have any experience.
Those who are still alive that were witnesses to the last pandemic, The Small-Pox of 1918, are at a disadvantage when recalling what the world, or even their country felt like, since the world was a smaller place due to not so many countries or peoples having been discovered, and information, whatever there was of it, did not travel far, due to limited means of communication.
As such, we are left with a world in which
