This was a 5+ star. I absolutely LOVED this book. The characters were well developed and so likable. I really enjoyed the way the story was written in different perspectives and a back and forth timeline. I really didn't see the surprises coming either. I think my jaw dropped at one point in the story! I just couldn't put this one down. I always found myself trying to get more. And now I'm sad I finished it. A definite recommend!!! I may even read it again!

I haven't listened to an emotional rollercoaster like this in a while. It's the perfect telling of two stories in one book, without being slow and confusing

This was an amazing love story told from
So many different perspectives. The story had lovable characters that you rooted for throughout the story line. The ending was unexpected and still lovely, leaving all characters and relationships with great rap ups. This story had me wanting more!!!!! Absolutely loved it.

This was a good story. I loved the story of Scarlet and Jameson but Noah and Georgia felt slow at times. I did not see the twist at the end coming, but it tied everything up nicely

Well developed combination of WWII early history and personal struggles with trust and legacy. I'll reread it, a good sign.

I made it to chapter 5. The female narrator was so ANNOYING!! Girl, you have ONE job, and that's to read the book in its entirety. This woman was allergic to the letter "G". So, she read the words like: annoyin', refreshin', talkin', runnin', bla bla bla. Not a Southern accent - I wish it was - just not pronouncing the G's. Come on! She was so Annoyin'. There!

This is not my usual type of book and I didn’t even know if I would get very far when I started. Because I love Rebecca Yarros so much I gave it a try and I gotta say NO REGRETS! Great book, great writing, and I especially love the unexpected turn things took towards the end.

From start to finish I was engrossed in this story. I loved every twist and turn. The switch from present to past/ past to present. Effortless. This is my first time listening to these two narrators. Needless to say I will look for the other worm as well. I am so glad that after reading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame I gave this a chance.

Wow! This book captured my attention and did not let it go, a rollercoaster of emotions and beautifully written. Again Rebecca out did herself with the character development, you feel like you know them and I'm so sad it's over.

The plot parralled and flipped between two couples' stories, one present day and one during WW2. I loved the sweet, tender WW2 love story. One star was taken away because I thought the present-day couple's story with explicit sex descriptions took away from the quality of writing and distracted from the plot. The plot twist toward the end was a great addition!

This book had two amazing stories going in flashbacks to an interesting time in history and back to present. Characters were amazing. Story held my attention and it had a great ending. A story that can make you appreciate how good we have it and what people have gone through so that we can have our life.

Amazing book, I didn't want it to end, and I certainly didn't want to put it down!!
This book has it all, and it certainly put my poor heart through its paces! It took me through every kind of love; familial, parental, sibling, unrequited, dreamy long-time loves and steamy, passionate, unexpected ones.
As well as the pain of heartache, heartbreak, soul-withering indifference, heart rending betrayal, triumph, and defeat.
History, drama, action, and unexpected twists. What else could you want?
    5 stars!! Highly recommend.
