BUYING a saddle is typically one of the bigger investments a rider makes and with more options on the market now than ever, it can soon become a daunting task.
You may know which brand you prefer or you may be set on a discipline-specific saddle - either way, one question is, what style of saddle flap do you need?
“As manufacturers, we tend to refer to saddles as either a monoflap, which is a single piece, or as a dual or twin flap,” explains Bliss of London managing director Nikki Newcombe. “The twin is your traditional solid leather on the outer, with a sweat flap underneath. Monoflaps always have long girth straps, and generally
