Latest Things

Some comment following the US election seems warranted. Since the results became clear, I felt some loss of hope. We have not been much following the news, and I am putting this entry mostly under cuts for those who would similarly like to skip politics for a while.

( I am disappointed by many voters and I worry about the coming administration. )

( It is good that we settled in Scotland instead. )

Meh. Already yesterday I was feeling really tired, but I put it up to getting my annual flu vaccine on Thursday. That certainly will have been part of it, but I must have already been "curating" something else, for the lack of better term, because today I have a bad cold. And I can tell it's going to get worse because swallowing hurts a lot. I'll have to go through the box where I keep our meds, I think we might still have COVID test kits, though I really hope it's not that. :/

Whatever it is, it's kept me from doing anything worthwhile all day. I'm really close to finishing my self-indulgent little story, but I don't even know if I'll find the strength to write at my usual time in the evening. I don't know about you, but I tend to get a bit whiny when I'm sick and this last chapter of my story should actually be lighthearted and optimistic. The last thing I need is for my mood to influence my writing. oTL
We'll see. I'll take a hot bath in an hour or so, maybe that'll help enough that I can write at least a few paragraphs tonight.


Since I've got nothing else to say, here have a screenshot of my Genshin roster:


It's obviously not all characters, but all those lvl 70+. Those who are 70 I still indend to get to 80, but as I've mentioned before, I'm out of levelling books, so it'll take a while to achieve that. My main priority is Lyney now, because I'm really itching to play him already.

All in all, I'm really happy with my roster and can't wait for Zhongli to join the family. :3

On last thing, I finally got that last star in the Abyss today. All thanks to Ororon and, of course, my MVP Kinich. <3 Now I can rest easy until the new IT on the 1st.

A short, succinct summary of current goings on:

- My roommate's fiancee has now moved in. She arrived just this evening. It feels like every other time she has visited, and I don't think I've quite wrapped my head around the fact that she is going to be a permanent fixture going forward.

- My last day at Disneyland was good good times. I got there much earlier than usual and pulled a fifteen hour day. I don't think I've ever been so tired, or so full of food.

- Participating in both fandomtrees and holiday_wishes because I love this format of browsing peoples' trees/wishlists and doing what I can to fulfill wishes here and there when able. You should check them out! You don't have to be participating yourself in any official capacity to do fills/grant wishes.

- The re-do of Comic Con badge sales is in the morning at 8:30am, sobs.

- Final call for holiday cards! If you would like one, please feel free to DM me with your address! I've got Christmas cards and I've got slightly more generic holiday greeting cards, let me know which you prefer.
