Zoe Ball and Jamie Oliver shared wild stories from the nineties and early noughties about their time with the Oasis brothers.

The TV chef, 49, appeared on the presenter's BBC Breakfast Radio 2 show on Thursday, after Zoe, 53, returned to work on Monday following a mysterious six week absence.

Speaking about Noel and Liam Gallagher's reunion tour next year, Jamie expressed his disappointment he was unable to get tickets, with Zoe telling him to call her ex-husband Norman Cook, 61.

Zoe, who was married to Norman (Fatboy Slim) from 1999 to 2010, revealed her ex husband would often 'disappear' with Noel, 57.

'Those two would go disappearing together, I’m like "where’s Norm?" "He’s in a field with Noel Gallagher".  I’m like "oh not again" like with Noel Gallagher, "not again", she recalled.

Zoe revealed in the nineties she had a flat that backed onto Noel's house, which Jamie went to and accidentally set himself on fire with absinthe.

He said: 'Do you remember I set myself on fire with some drink? What was it some drink?'

Zoe replied: 'I will never go near absinthe again. We used to lie in bed and go "oh hang on a minute, he’s having a row".

'He used to be shut out quite a lot. It was very funny. They were the days.

'Is the story that Liam Gallagher waking you up by shouting outside your house asking for a bacon sandwich true? '

Liam used to frequent a pub Jamie used to live across from and he often spent his journey home taunting the cook.

Jamie said: 'He did. He said "give us a bacon sarnie" though the letterbox.

'I leant out and said "Dude",  Poppy and Daisy were just born. I said "the kids are trying to sleep – please!".

'He used to hang out in the Holly Bush and he looked so cool. He’s such a character.

'I went and watched him twice last year with John Squire from the Stone Roses, they had their own thing going on, amazing, saw that at Kentish Town. And then I saw the Definitely Maybe 25 years gig and I saw Noel in a box and no one believed me.

'And I saw him.  How could he be there if it wasn’t going to happen.'

Liam previously spoke about taunting Jamie on The Jonathan Ross show.

He said: 'On the way home, we’d be going, “He’s got some scran in there".

He’d come to his window and be going, "Liam Stop f***ing about, I’m getting the kids to bed" and we’re going, "Just chuck us down a couple of bacon sarnies."

'He’s moved. The funny thing is he’s moved to where I live now as well.'

Of how to get tickets, Zoe suggested: 'Get a call into Jo Whiley. Get a call into Liam. The boys are very healthy these days,'

Jamie said: 'I do see Liam running. In his parka. If you imagine Liam running, it’s exactly how you would imagine it.

'In the parka, hood up, he’s just like running like that. He’s got his own private park, I won’t say which it is and no one knows he’s doing it apart from me, who is looking through a telescope. No I’m not.'

Millions of fans sought to secure some of the approximately one million tickets available for the 17 dates on the tour, which include two shows in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin and five in Manchester and London apiece across July and August.

On Monday Zoe returned to her Radio 2 show for the first time in six weeks.

The star was told to 'take all the time she needs' following the death of her beloved mother, but Zoe returned work on May 13.

After her recent six week absence, Zoe extended her thanks to her colleague and radio presenter Scott Mills for covering her show as she added: 'Just wanted to say a thank you to Scott for looking after the show and of course Spoony for looking after Scott's show.

'He was supposed to be going on holiday DJing around the world he had to change all his plans so thank you boys and thank you everyone for being so supportive.

'Lots of you sent so many messages from listeners they meant the world so I thank you to all your gorgeous ones.'
