Ariana DeBose's Hamilton co-star Anthony Ramos BLASTED for not defending her vocal prowess during THAT Critics Choice Awards joke
Much ado has been made over Bella Ramsey joking that Ariana DeBose was as an 'actor who thinks they're singer' like Jack Black and Ryan Gosling while presenting the best song trophy during Sunday's Critics Choice Awards.
To add insult to injury, the British 20-year-old delivered the wisecrack while standing right next to Anthony Ramos - who referred to the other nominees Billie Eilish, Lenny Kravitz, and Dua Lipa as 'famous voices.'
The 32-year-old Grammy winner did not say anything to defend the 32-year-old Oscar winner, whom he co-starred with in the Broadway hit Hamilton from July 2015-July 2016.
Anthony famously originated the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton while Ariana played the bullet as part of the ensemble in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning sung-and-rapped musical.
DeBose - who boasts 804K social media followers - took to Instastory on Sunday night to confirm: 'No I didn't find it funny. Lol.'

'Getting a young non-binary actor to say it when Ariana's literal Hamilton cast member is also making the speech with them is such a cheap shot. Also the fact that award shows are now essentially roasts [isn't] it.'

'Anthony owes you an apology!' Instagram user @alexandranacole commented on the Schmigadoon star's post from Sunday.
'How could you let a joke slide like that about your former Hamilton co-worker on Broadway? You think she got on Hamilton just [because] she "thinks she can sing"?'

'What is going on with writers [and] award shows?
Instagram user @thestrongest_00 commented: 'Don't blame @bellaramsey blame the writers.'
