A dating coach has lifted the lid on the major differences between dating men in the America versus Europe - declaring men in the US to be 'selfish.'

Gabby, who goes by @respectfullygabby on TikTok, frequently takes to social media to dish out her best-kept dating tips to her 187,000-plus followers.

Having previously given fans advice on how to let go of obsessive crushes, the love pro is now advising women to ditch the States if they want to find the man of their dreams.

Most recently, Gabby - who jet-sets around the world but is based in the US - took to the video-sharing platform to share her experience of dating abroad and how it differed from when she was at home.

In the video, she branded European men 'direct' while slamming their American counterparts as 'selfish' and explaining what their dating styles were.

At the beginning of the video, she explained that she had spent the last five months in Europe - and went on her fair share of dates during that time.

She added that the differences between relationships in America and in Europe were 'significant' - starting with how men approach women.

The dating expert pointed out that in the US it's not as acceptable to 'walk up and shoot your shot.'

'As a man because you don't want to come off as a creep,' she said. 'So I feel like men are scared to shoot their shot, they don't want to be rejected.

'So for whatever reason they are just not approaching women,' she explained.

Meanwhile, Gabby said that the men in Europe are 'not afraid' to go up to a woman and ask her out - adding that their confidence is 'unreal.'

The second difference - which she flagged as the biggest - was that European men asked more about what they can do for her.

'I've noticed that men in Europe are very much like asking, "what can I do for you?" How can I help you?"' she shared.

'Whereas men in America got this idea that they are the prize in the relationship.'

Gabby branded the men in the American dating pool as 'selfish' before moving onto the final difference between them.

Finally, the dating guru listed the final quality she's grown to love about European men.

'Lastly, men from Europe are so straightforward. If they want a relationship with you, it's very evident. If they don't want a relationship with you and just want to hook up with you, it's very evident,' she declared.

'In America, we are so scared to commit. Men don't know what they want,' she said as she noted that this is why people end up in situationships and are 'confused.'

People on the web flooded the comments section of her video and praised the dating coach.

One person said: 'What do I bring to the table? I am the table.'

Another user commented three fire emojis.

Someone else added: '100 per cent.'

Gabby isn't the only one to travel abroad for some love. TikTok user Anne Marie Hagerty regularly documents her travels around the world in search of love.

The most romantic places, she claimed, are New York, Italy and Croatia. Anne Marie described New York as her 'number one' place to date. And said it's a 'huge part' of why she moved there.

She explained: 'The serendipity of the city is magical, plus being surrounded by millions of people, but finding one special person feels like you're living in a super-romantic movie.

'I love grand romantic gestures and unique experiences, and New York is the best place in the world to make those things happen.

'For example, I planned a date for a guy to ride in a doors-off helicopter over the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and Central Park.'
