Bay State Games
PLEASE NOTE THAT BAY STATE GAMES IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THEIR 128TH BOSTON MARATHON TEAM.
Established in 1982, Bay State Games has provided recreation, personal development, and education-based programming for participants of all ages and abilities for over four decades. Over 6,000 participants, ranging in age from 5 to over 80 and representing over 300 Massachusetts communities participate annually in over 30 different summer and winter sports. Bay State Games provide a safe, affordable, and quality experience while promoting health, physical fitness, sportsmanship, and life skills. Over 1,000 volunteer coaches, officials, sports medicine professionals and sports organizers donate their time to support Bay State Games programs.
Bay State Games also produces enrichment programs including college scholarships, a sportsmanship program, a sports medicine program, college internship program, a high school student ambassador mentoring program and a Hall of Fame. Bay State Games is dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion and accessibility to all regardless of socio-economic status. The Adopt an Athlete Program reserves funds to provide financial assistance for those who may not be able to afford participation fees.
Funds raised will support volunteer coaches and officials, medical expenses to ensure appropriate care for all participants, background check costs to ensure participants are safe and the production of manuals and policies for proper training of volunteers. In addition, funds will support our Adopt an Athlete Program, college scholarship programs and other educational initiatives.
