In his debut book, Attila Vágó invites readers into the world of a protagonist born with a severe congenital disability to follow his experiences, both traumatising and joyful from birth to a life-altering moment.

Along the journey, he navigates us through a vast variety of cities, stories about the pursuit of love, and the depths of the mind and soul of a beautiful person who had defied all the odds.

This inspiring and captivating auto-fiction is a reminder that everyone has a story and every story is worth telling.
One must never underestimate the power of a few stolen kisses. They can kick off or end adventures. When it comes to this book — as the reader will find — it’s a little bit of both.

Attila Vago is a decades-long LEGO fan, vinyl record collector, a lover of all things music and long walks. During the day he’s been working as a software engineer for over 10 years, but that never stopped him from spending some of his free time writing. He has been blogging for over 20 years about music, technology, software engineering, accessibility and LEGO bricks. In 2019 he decided it was time to make his long-time dream come true, and write a novel.

When asked, he tends to describe himself as a life enthusiast. He believes that life is meant to be lived and stories are meant to be told. Both in his day-to-day life and writing he loves combining pragmatism with thoughtfulness and humour while always aiming to inspire.

Having lived in multiple countries over the years and later permanently moving to Ireland as an ethnic Hungarian from Romania, he is a strong advocate for diversity, empathy and inclusion. Being born with a cleft lip and palate, he understood very early on the challenges of being seen as different and the importance of developing the necessary life-skills to navigate them. Attila refuses to believe in things being truly broken, and thus, like with LEGO bricks, he’ll attempt to build something new from the pieces.
