Episode Description
Imagine that you suffered from distressing and impairing psychological symptoms most of your life and no one told you that they were treatable. Older adults with unidentified ADHD have walked through life being disorganized, forgetful, worried about poor performance at work, and unable to maintain healthy relationships because they haven’t received an accurate diagnosis or an effective treatment plan.
ADHD is one of the most effectively treated psychiatric conditions in psychiatry, but only if it is accurately diagnosed. Here, David W. Goodman, M.D. — an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of ADHD with a specific interest in older adults — will explain the facts and latest research about diagnosing and treating ADHD in older adults, so you can lead a more fulfilling, productive, and happy life.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- Symptoms and daily impairments associated with ADHD in older adults
- Other medical issues to consider when explaining cognitive symptoms
- Which medications are helpful for older adults with ADHD
- The benefits ADHD medication may or may not provide
