Prospective elementary teachers' images of environmental pollution

Abstract
The purpose of this study is determined to prospective elementary teachers' opinion about environmental pollution and the images of environmental pollution. The study was conducted with participation of 2th year pre-service elementary teachers (N=43). The qualitative research was employed in this study. The teacher candidates were asked to draw a picture about environmental pollution and were asked to interpret these pictures. Data was analyzed by contend analysis. The data were obtained from research that was explained 3 category which types of environmental pollution (air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, radioactive pollution and noise pollution), affected by environmental pollution (people, plants, animals, climate and inanimate beings) and those who cause of environmental pollution (Directly caused by people, man-made resources and natural resources).
