In the present study leaves of an important medicinal plant Vitex negundo was subjected to a phytochemical screening, flavonoid content and characterization of flavonoids moiety of Vitex negundo leaves extracts. The petroleum ether, chloroform, ethanol, methanol and aqueous extracts were prepared, and further screened for preliminary phytochemical test. The quantification of quercetin was investigated in ethanol extract by HPLC study. Preliminary phytochemical revealed the presence of flavonoids and phenolic compounds in ethanol, methanol and aqueous extracts of leaves of Vitex negundo. The ethanol, methanol and aqueous extracts investigated for antioxidant activity, and ethanol extract indicates the presence of highest quantity of flavonoids and polyphenol compared to other extracts. The HPLC chromatogram confirmed the flavonoids moiety was quercetin in ethanol extract, and the yield of quercetin was 42.18 ng/ml.

The article deals with the gain of biologically active substance flavonoid in endemic plant species in Ajara and Ajara-Lazica applying tandem chromate mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) method. In the object under analysis, for the purpose of identification of the target substance, mass spectrums of the peaks existing on chromatographs were compared with the mass spectrums of the substances existing in the database (NIST 2011). Out of the examined 21 species, flavonoids appeared in the following 3 species, Scutellaria pontica C. Koch.-Labiatae L.; Astragalus adzharicus M. Pop.-Fabaceae Lindl; Linaria adzharica Kem.-Nath. (=L.syspirensis C. Koch.)-Scrophulariaceae Juss. Material under current analysis was taken in 2014-2015. The following has been identified in the examined endemic plant species, Scutellaria pontica C. Koch.-Labiatae L. Luteolin, apigenin; Astragalus adzharicus M.Pop.-Fabaceae Lindl; quercetin, kaempferol; Linaria adzharica Kem.-Nath. (=L.syspirensis C. Koch.)-Scrophularia...

In order to characterise the Albarín blanco, a white Vitis vinifera L. cultivar native of Asturias (North of Spain), the grape flavonoids and the volatile composition of their wines were studied during three consecutive years. A total of 16 flavonoids (five dihydroflavonols, seven quercetin derivatives and four kaempferol derivatives) and 34 aroma compounds were identified and quantified by HPLC and gas chromatography, respectively. The results are very significant, in that dihydroflavonols were found to be the most abundant flavonoids in Albarín blanco grapes because this class of phenolic compounds was always considered as very scarce in grape skins. On the other hand, higher alcohols and esters were quantitatively the largest group of volatile compounds in wines elaborated with this cultivar and made up more than 80% of the free volatiles. Linalool, β-ionone, isoamyl alcohols, ethyl acetate, isoamyl acetate, ethyl hexanoate and ethyl octanoate were determined to be an important contribution to the aroma of Albarín blanco wines, according to their perception threshold in the three vintages. We may conclude that flavonoid and aromatic compounds have been of great value for Albarín blanco description. In addition, with this paper we can contribute to improve the knowledge about flavonols and dihydroflavonols in grape.

O presente trabalho analisa o “fenômeno Casimiro”, que diz respeito ao jovem streamer carioca Casimiro Miguel. A partir de uma etnografia digital e de arquivo que combinou metodologias quantitativas e qualitativas, buscou-se observar as redes em torno do streamer, como as pessoas e empresas envolvidas, as plataformas nas quais ele se faz presente e os conteúdos que ele produz. Dessa forma, documentou-se extensamente sua presença no meio digital e fora da Internet em uma tentativa de contribuir para os estudos sobre os fenômenos digitais. Concluiu-se que, apesar de não ser possível identificar um único fator central para o sucesso de Casimiro, houve uma estratégia por trás de sua difusão. Esta, por sua vez, complementa sua personalidade espontânea e carismática na construção da figura do “rei do entretenimento”.
