Health of women is one of society's most critical issues because women must be physically, mentally and emotionally well before they can devote themselves to serve their families and to consider other important social issues. There are many Gynaecological disorders found in women that needs to be timely diagnosed and cured to avoid major health problems. Common gynaecological disorders most of the females suffer are Usr-e-tams wa Ehtabas-e-tams (Dysmenorrhoea and Ammenorrhea), Kasrat-e-Haiz (Menorrhagia), Sailan-e-reham (Leucorrhoea),Hikkat-ul-Farj (Pruritis vulvae),Warm-e-Farj wa Mehbal (Vulvitis and Vaginitis),Warm-e-Reham (Metritis), PCOD (Polycystic ovarian disease) and Uqr-Banjhpan (Sterility). The Unani System of Medicine which is holistic in nature deals with these issues in a systematic manner as evident from classification of diseases available in ancient Unani literature and the number of plant drugs and its combinations thereby available for the treatment. These herbal medicines have greater significance in the treatment and management of various Gynaecological disorders.
Most population of India has been using the herbal medicine since time immemorial and medicinal plants are not only the source of herbal medicines but also plays major role in pharmaceutical industry. Keeping in view the importance medicinal plants and increasing demand of herbal medicines, the present study has been carried out in different areas of tehsil Joginder Nagar during April 2012 to December 2013, because tehsil Joginder Nagar is repository of medicinal important floral diversity due to suitable environmental conditions. India has six recognized systems of medicine (Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Yoga, Naturopathy and Homoeopathy). Maximum rural and some urban population are dependent for their health care on Unani system of Medicine due to low cost and safe health care solution. Total 83 species belonging to 58 families and 79 genera were recorded from the study areas. All plant species are provided along with their Botanical name, Family name, Local name, Ayurvedic name and part used. A checklist has been prepared after comparing with the existing literature of Unani System of Medicine and especially with the list of medicinal plant used in Unani System of Medicine for abortifacient, emmenagogues, stimulant and depressant action on uterine muscle given in Hamdard Pharmacopoeia of Eastern Medicine.
Background: In India the prevalence of gynaecological disorders are alarming in situation at present. Due to the social stigma, the women do not disclose their gynaecological disorders even to their closest neighbours. They disclose their problems to the local herbal healers or practitioners only. Herbal healers treat these diseases using the plants which have immense medicinal potentiality. An attempt has been made to collect the information from eastern parts of India about the use of phytomedicine for the treatment of female diseases. In the beginning of 21 st century the phytomedicines achieved the reliability to rescue the patients from the fatal diseases. Methods: The prescription of ethnomedicin were thoroughly interviewed and cross interviewed the local healers, patients, old and experienced tribal peoples regarding doses and administration. Results: About 100 indigenous medicinal plants have been recorded. The name of the plants, the parts used and the method of application...
The present study is an effort to save the precious heritage of local folks and traditional healers of Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh regarding uses of herbal remedies against gynaecological disorders. The indigenous knowledge was gathered through interactions with rural population through informal interviews with the informants in their local language. This is the first-hand information on 45 ethno-medicinal plant species belonging to 30 families used to cure gynaecological disorders by ethnic populace. The largest numbers of 25% plant species were used to treat leucorrhoea, 24% plant species for menstrual ailments, 17% plant species for gonorrhoea, 9% plant species for both delivery and abortion related issues and 8% used for lactation and as contraceptives. Usr-e-Tams (Dysmenorrhoea) is one of the most common prevailing gynecological problems, suffered by almost half of all female adolescents with a prevalence of 60% to 93%, and a major contributor of short term school and recurrent work absenteeism, about 600 million work hours and worth 2 billion dollars annual economic loss has been reported in united states due to the problem of primary dysmenorrhoea. In Unani system of medicine, dysmenorrhea is described under the heading of Usre Tams. Unani physician, Ibn-e-Sina has stated that this obstruction occurs due to the temperamental changes leading painful menstrual flow, According to Greek philosopher Hippocrates, dysmenorrhoea occurs due to cessation of menstrual blood flow. There are many studies that have shown that dysmenorrhoea had a failure of 20-25% in conventional treatment, So People are looking for other safer options. In unani system of medicine herbal drugs, compound unani formulations and various traditionally therapeutic options like dalak (massage) Ab-e-zan (sitz bath) and hijamah bila shart (dry cupping), has been mentioned for its management purposes. Aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of management of dysmenorrhea.

Stability Performance Assessment of Pipelines under Hydrostatic Pressure2019 •
Pipelines are an economical means of transporting oil and gas. A commonly encountered performance issue with such structures, however, is their susceptibility to buckling under hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressure loads. In such a failure scenario, the pipe will suddenly collapse under the action of the loads and can render the transport structure as ineffective. The engineering design of pipes must therefore account for the action and magnitudes of such anticipated service loading, referred to as buckle propagation pressure, in achieving an adequate and sound performance. As for the notion of economy, since buckle propagation pressure is closely related to the pipe wall thickness, it has a direct bearing on overall project costs. In this study, to simulate in situ conditions of subsea pipelines, only uniform hydrostatic pressure was taken into consideration as the source for loading. A finite element method (FEM) model was then used to examine the buckling modes on pipes of two different diameters varying at four diameter-to-thickness ratios. With the pipes modeled as having clamped supports, predicted values of stress, strain, reaction force, and displacement at the ends and at midspan, were obtained. The results found show an inverse relationship between the diameterto-thickness ratios and buckling capacities of the pipes.
There is mounting evidence to suggest that exogenous electromagnetic fields (EMF) may play a significant role in various biological processes that are crucial to therapeutic interventions. EMFs have been identified as a non-invasive, safe, and effective therapy that appears to have no apparent side effects. Numerous studies have demonstrated that pulsed EMFs (PEMFs) have the potential to become a stand-alone or adjunctive treatment modality for managing musculoskeletal disorders. However, several questions remain unresolved. Before their widespread clinical application, further research from well-designed, high-quality studies is required to standardize treatment parameters and determine the optimal protocol for healthcare decision-making. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the impact of musculoskeletal diseases on overall well-being, the limitations of conventional treatments, and the need to explore alternative therapeutic modalities such as electromagnetic field (EMF) therapy. EMF therapy uses low-frequency electromagnetic waves to stimulate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and modulate pain signals, making it a safe and convenient alternative to conventional treatments. The article also discusses the historical perspective of EMF therapy in medicine. The article highlights the potential of EMF therapy as a personalized and comprehensive care option for musculoskeletal diseases, either alone or in conjunction with other therapies. It emphasizes the imperative for further research in this field and presents a compelling case for the use of EMF therapy in managing musculoskeletal diseases. Overall, the available findings on the underlying cellular and molecular biology support the use of EMF therapy as a viable option for the management of musculoskeletal disorders and stresses the need for continued research in this area.
