Early Childhood Education Report 2023, 2024
The Early Childhood Education Report captures changes to Canada's provincial and territorial early years services from March 2020 to March 2023. As such, it is able to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on service provision, as well as the new funding, and requirements of the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreements (CWELCC).
“Billions of microvita produce a single carbon atom” explains Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. “That is why it cannot be said that everything comes from carbon atoms. Rather, the carbon atoms come from microvita. Not only carbon atoms, but all other kinds of atoms are the creation of microvita.” Microvita, according to P. R. Sarkar, are subtle subatomic living entities that spread life and minds in the universe. Also, “Each structure of carbonic origin in this universe, whether animate or inanimate, has a mind. That is, a mind is associated with every structure either in manifested form or in dormant form.” P.R. Sarkar describes individual and social problems resulting from the mind being engrossed in carbonic pabulum (the material world): 1) “the mind will gradually and steadily drift towards crude matter” and 2) “oneʼs mind will think in terms of devouring othersʼ carbonic pabulum (physical possessions). This is the psychological explanation of imperialism.” “In order to wipe out imperialism, which is rooted deep in the human psyche, Neo-ethics based on the following points is indispensable: 1) The Macrocosmic Entity must be accepted as the supreme desideratum in human life. 2) There should be happy adjustment and balanced blending between carbonic (physical attractions) and non-carbonic pabula (mental and spiritual attractions).” “If there is a happy adjustment and balanced blending between carbonic and non-carbonic pabula in the human mind and corpor, there will be no imperialism at all. Rather, heaven will descend on the dusty earth.” Also, “while following the path of neo-ethics, human beings will attain enormous progress in the spiritual sphere with greater speed.” P. R. Sarkar (1921-1990) was the founder of the socio-spiritual movement Ananda Marga (“Path of Bliss).
Computers are finding their way into every business, industry and research activity today. The use of computers is diverse such as entertainment, education, problem solving, research, personal management, etc. In hospitals, the process of maintaining the record of patients and employees working in the hospital, calculating bills, etc., requires processing and record keeping in different departments. Keeping in view a strong need for managing the above information fast and efficiently, Online Hospital MIS has been designed and developed. It is user friendly and provides simple and efficient way for managing the working of hospitals. It has been developed using .NET Framework. The database has been secured as only authorized personnel can modify the data. The database has been designed using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the back-end and the application has been developed using ASP.NET 2.0 as front-end. SQL Client data provider has been used to provide database connectivity. The software provides better speed and performance than the traditional hospital management system.
From Josephus to Yosippon and Beyond, 2024
Christian reception of the Book of Yosippon in the Middle-Ages and Renaissance rested on the assumptions that it was authored by Josephus, that it could serve to confirm the historicity of Christianity, and that it could be used in religious polemics against the Jews. Yosippon’s account of the destruction of the Second Temple was considered proof that Christianity had superseded Judaism, demonstrating how divine punishment had been meted out to the Jews for rejecting Jesus. Christians were also interested in Yosippon for its opening chapter’s narrative, loosely based on Virgil’s Aeneid, depicting the fictitious biblical hero Zepho ben Eliphaz as the founder of Rome. Modern scholarship interprets this narrative as an attempt to create a Jewish historiography of the Roman Empire. For Jewish writers, the myth of Zepho serves to create founding myths that confirm and validate Jewish presence in Christian Europe by attributing the founding of cities and lands to this biblical figure. The article explores these facets of Yosippon’s reception in Christian circles. This is an open access chapter distributed under the terms of the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.

One of the most strident voices in the US alt-right scene in the early 21st century belongs to the Proud Boys. Although born only in 2016, the group shares sentiments with older accelerationist groups who seek to return the United States to what they see as its pristine origins. "Alt-right," "alt-lite," and "white" are disputed terms among the group's various chapters, but xenophobia and misogyny are two pervasive themes. Similarly to other voices on the alt-right, the Proud Boys vary in the degree to which they will accommodate racialist Christianity and/or a romanticized Nordic spiritualism. However, to the extent that religion can be made to serve the establishment of a white ethnostate, even the most atheistic among them have come to see religious tolerance as a pragmatic necessity. What is most religious about them, however, can be understood as resembling European metapolitics, which exploits atavistic dreams, mythic symbols, and eschatological values to foster a cultural awakening to nativist dreams. The Proud Boys version of this nativist dream is their aspiration to return to a purported Judeo-Christian ethical foundation for Western civilization, together with a Greco-Roman model of the Republic.
