Freedom House Nations in Transit Report
Freedom House Nations in Transit 2018 Hungary Report2018 •
"Following seven years of “creative compliance” with European Union (EU) rules and values, while using cosmetic changes to hide the erosion of democratic institutions, in 2017, certain moves by the Hungarian government more overtly resembled those of authoritarian regimes, unveiling a disturbing direction for the country’s future political development." Nations in Transit is Freedom House’s research project on democracy in the 29 formerly communist countries from Central Europe to Central Asia. The flagship of the project is an annual survey of democratic reform that has been published since 1995, and with the same methodology since 2003. Nations in Transit researchers score the countries in seven categories: National Democratic Governance, Local Democratic Governance, Electoral Process, Independent Media, Civil Society, Judicial Framework and Independence, and Corruption. Category scores are based on a detailed list of questions.
The appropriate time series model of the official daily exchange rate of Nigerian Naira for US Dollar in terms of buying rate, central rate and selling rate, from the period of January 1, 2016 to May 19, 2017 (recession period) was investigated. Box and Jenkins approach was applied for the modelling of naira/dollar daily exchange rate using ARIMA model. The results of the analysis show that the series became stationary after first differencing. Based on Akaike Information Criteria (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criteria (BIC), the best model that explained the series was found to be ARIMA (0, 1, 1) for the three series. The model was also confirmed through diagnostic checking. The error was found to be white noise and there was no presence of serial correlation. A forecast for period of 182 days was made which indicated that the naira will continue to depreciate within the forecast period. The performance of the three models ARIMA (0, 1, 1) in terms of buying rate, central rate, and selling rate for out-of-sample also show that ARIMA (0, 1, 1) for selling rate and the buying rate model outperformed the central rate model in thThe appropriate time series model of the official daily exchange rate of Nigerian Naira for US Dollar in terms of buying rate, central rate and selling rate, from the period of January 1, 2016 to May 19, 2017 (recession period) was investigated. The performance of the three ARIMA (0, 1, 1) models for buying rate, central rate and selling rate revealed that the selling rate model had the least ME, MSE, RMSE and MAPE.

Risk Management
Many people complain about gas and bloating, and assume it comes from eating certain foods. Food poisoning in the US causes 48 million people to get sick each year, according to the CDC, so it’s easy to blame the food you ate for your digestive problems, and people are rightly concerned about food safety. They may blame a restaurant for the way they handled the food. Or they may conclude that they can’t eat certain kinds of foods that cause them gas and indigestion. They may wonder if the food contain certain pesticides, or other contaminants, that is causing their digestive problems. So they change diets, and find different restaurants, and change their grocery store, hoping to find a way to better digestion, but often failing to find the answer. However, the problem may not be the food, or the way it is grown or prepared. The problem may be their own digestive process, which is impacted, and constipated, by tight clothing.
