In Pomp, Circumstance, and the Performance of Politics: Acting Politically Ccorrect Iin the Ancient World, edited by Kathryn R. Morgan, pp. 15–47. Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures of the University of Chicago ISAC Seminars • Number 16, 2024.
Islamic Finance News, 2024
The analyst who practices the art of making financial data talk is always surprised by the discourse on lower interest rates in Islamic finance circles and the approximations that follow from it. What rates should we really be talking about? There is talk of a reduction versus an increase in rates, of what the central bank is going to do with its so-called key rates, but all this remains very confusing if analyzed in a critical way. In this article, PROF DR ABDERRAZAK BELABES explicitly analyzes the difference that must be made between key rates set by the central bank and the resulting market rates.
