Brentford boss Thomas Frank has warned clubs interested in striker Ivan Toney that they must be willing to pay his 'expensive' price tag if they wish to steal his signature this summer.

Toney, who impressed at Euro 2024 as part of Gareth Southgate's England squad, has attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have all voiced their admiration for the forward, who hopes to join a title-chasing team ahead of the upcoming season.

But Bees manager Frank has admitted that he won't give up his star striker easily, confirming that he would 'love' to see the goalscorer remain in west London.

"He's a Brentford player and I would love him to stay," Frank told Sky Sports. "That would give me a very positive challenge.

"But I haven't met a coach who doesn't want as many good players as possible. Right now, Ivan is a Brentford player. I know he's enjoying his well-deserved time off after his time with England.

"I would be more than happy if he stayed with us. He's a goalscorer and that's very good to have in your team so if you want to buy him, it's expensive."

Toney, who first signed for the Bees in 2020 after leaving Peterborough, has one year remaining on his current contract. 90min previously reported that the 28-year-old could consider a career break once his contract expires, but is also open to leaving the club earlier to further his career.

The player made just 17 appearances for Brentford during the 2023/24 season after serving a lengthy ban, but made waves on the international stage as England reached the final of Euro 2024.
