Story
Of all the ways the world could end, you have to admit this wasn't what you expected.
But to be fair, how could you have guessed that zombies would rise up and plunge the world into chaos?
You've been alone for months now, since losing your pack at the beginning of the outbreak. It's easier that way, especially since tensions between humans and supernaturals are higher than they have ever been.
Things take a turn for the worse when you find yourself saddled with a human girl. But it shouldn't be too hard to find the nearest human settlement and leave her there, right?
Content Warnings: body horror, gore, violence, death, drug & alcohol use, strong language
Features
- Discover what has become of the world in the wake of the zombie apocalypse, and do your best to try and survive it.
- Try to get through full moon after full moon without losing yourself.
- Bond with the kid you've found yourself stuck with; be a parent, an older sibling, or a mentor.
- Pick up even more survivors and form your own strange kind of family in what remains.
- Romance 1 of 3 possible options.
The Kid
Ruby (f) - your new ward.
She's a troublemaker, but she's also just a scared kid (no matter how much she would hate to admit it). Like it or not, you're all she has right now.
Romance Options
Jamie (m/f/nb) - a childhood friend that you never thought you'd see again.
It's strange to see them again after all these years, stranger still to see how much they've changed. Their mother was a witch and, though their talents lie more with technology, that knowledge is still very valuable.
Lucy (f) - a friend of a friend, and maybe even potentially just a friend.
She seems to be taking everything in stride. She's a survivor through and through, always looking for a way to make the most of the situation. You don't know how much you can trust her, but it's clear that Jamie does.
Ren (m/f) - a stranger that you aren't sure what to make of.
They are a bit of a mystery. You can't quite figure out what their goal is or why they are so willing to travel with you, but regardless you can't pass up a doctor in these trying times. Even if they do have an unusual diet.

haven’t even opened the game yet, but just from the premise I think I might cry. Be back with an update on if I cry or not
update: I did, in fact, cry a bit. That ending was foul, how could you leave it off there??
Despite that, can’t freaking wait for the next update!
Easily one of the best games of this genre, It's a shame that after 2ys, it's still not finished (I don't think it ever will).
Is this project abandoned?
I'm still working on this. I don't have a good idea of when it'll next be updated, but I'd like to have something out within the next few months.

This reminded me of a novel called Eternal Rules, instead from a werewolves perspective. I guess the infection is different as well, though. All in all, it's good. Thanks

I swear this has to be the second Itch.I’m game I have ever found that has made me feel true emotion whilst playing it. I felt so on edge near the end of the demo- this is so well written though. I can’t wait for more!
I'm so weak, this was gripping and I don't think anything could've prepared me for the end of demo screen. I hope this is still being worked on, I'd LOVE to play a full version!

I am already in love with ruby acting as the " Best mom " in the game.
Hits a very cozy post apocolyptic vibe that echo some beats from the calmer moments in the last of us. love. ❤️
