I used to hate school because I’d spend hours just trying to read the assignments. Listening has been totally life changing. This app saved my education.

Ana, student with dyslexia

I have only used it to scan text from a book for listening when I’m tired of reading, but it works surprisingly well as long as you crop the scanned photo to remove any pictures or diagrams. It takes a while for each scanned image to be transcribed so it wouldn’t be very practical for scanning in an entire book as that would take a long time, but it is perfect for creating audio files of your notes or of specific pages in text books for listening to later for studying purposes. Awesome app!

I have a hemianopia which makes it difficult to read text. This application goes above and beyond what I expect. It reads just about everything I can throw at it. It helps me reread cover letters as well as read the news. The voices speak extremely well. I think the app is a bit expensive and it needs some help getting rid of the unnecessary HTML but it works.

This app is awesome I use free version I have Listened to full E books Online articles Web pages PDFs all kinds of formats With the free version This is absolutely the best Text to voice app It actually does what it’s supposed to do It reads aloud for you. Have no problems with it the only thing is I am not able to change the voice with the free version but I would say that is a small price to pay for this treasure. Than you for this app and keep up the good work.

I purchased one year premium subscription and it was good for a month or so, but now it’s gone and the app shows my subscription is basic and I need to upgrade. There is no customer service to talk to either and when I reached out through Twitter they didn’t reply back either. I actually liked the app when it was working fine, but it’s been few weeks that I have lost my premium subscription and there’s no way I could get in touch. Update – The issue was fixed shortly after I posted the review.

I really love this app! I am dyslexic and have struggled in the past with finding audiobooks. I love how I can turn virtually everything into an audiobook. The only problem is I have the premium version and my AI voice occasionally switches to one of the lower quality voices. It’s only for a minute or so though. I will say the premium version is definitely worth it! Also, this is not necessary, but I think it would be a really cool feature to be able to import pictures for the book covers.

Hello, this is a great app, and I like the voices that sound like a real human speaking. It turns normal pdf’s into an audiobook. The only issue I’ve encountered, is while listening the voice sometimes changes to a different voice that sounds fake. I have to manually change the voice to fix it. It will show that I’m listening with one voice, while it changes to a default fake voice. And it won’t fix it unless I change to a different voice entirely. But other than that, it’s a good app

Easy controls, stock voices are fine. Scan with your phone camera or import .pdf. Premium voices and full features such as extra fast speed are $70 a year. They don’t explain any other extra features besides speed and voices. Available faster and slower speeds are fine. The locks up often if you go to another application, but opening and closing the app gets it going again. Too bad I’m priced out of the subscription model. I’ve used other similar apps, but this one has an easy UI.

I love this app it helps me apart from all other apps that I had experience with this one was compatible with my phone and laptop. So far no problems no issues. My emails, PDF files, ebooks, ect. are easy to hear and read. Overall I’m grateful that someone came up with something that will help others further their listening and reading abilities. Thank you Speechify

speechify has been my go to for months. It has dramatically improved my reading habits. Main price is unfairly high, just to have ai voices that allow a more human sounding speech (this should be a norm, not a premium feature), thus I can only give it 4 stars. I still highly recommend the free version and would gladly pay if it was a more reasonable price.
