What story lies hidden in these pages? 

Marginalia is a game about creating a story-within-a-story as you read, making use of only the words on the page. As you read a book of your choosing, you will highlight words to select them for your story, and jot down notes in the margins about your characters. Your story might be parallel to the novel you’re reading, making use of its setting, plot, themes, and characters to craft your own, secondary story. Or maybe your story will be entirely unrelated to the book, making clever use of the words at your disposal to make something entirely new. Whatever your choice, the intersection of imagination and limitation will be written in the margins of the book.

This is a solo storytelling game. To play, you will need a book and something to write with.
