Enrique Lanuza
Graduate in Biological Sciences from the University of València (1993), and PhD obtained in the same University in 1997, on comparative and evolutionary neurobiology, under the supervision of Fernando Martínez-García (Univ. of València) and Mimi Halpern (State University of New York). Postdoctoral training at the laboratory of Joseph E. LeDoux (Center for Neural Science, New York University), with a Fulbright Fellowship (1999). Appointed Assistant Professor of the Dept. of Cell Biology of the Univ. of València in 2000, and Associate Professor in the same University since 2002. His research focuses on neural circuits underlying social and sexual behaviors, such as sexual attraction, aggression and maternal behavior, in which the amygdala plays a critical role.
