Oscar Vorobjovas-Pinta
Dr Oscar Vorobjovas-Pinta is a Course Coordinator for Master of Tourism, Environmental and Cultural Heritage and Lecturer in Tourism and Society in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Tasmania. Dr Vorobjovas-Pinta is a leading expert on LGBTQI+ communities in the context of leisure, hospitality and tourism. His research interests are the sociology of tourism, tourist behaviour, extending ethnographic and qualitative research methods into tourism research, and technology-enhanced tourism experiences.
Oscar is a Board Director at Visit Northern Tasmania. He is also a Board Member of the Australian and New Zealand Association for Leisure Studies (ANZALS), a member of the Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE), and a member of Tourism Research and Education Network (TRENd).
Oscar also holds a Graduate Certificate in Research, including formal instruction in university teaching and learning, and prior to relocating to Australia Oscar gained degrees from the University of Southern Denmark and the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences.
