Matthew Cipa
I am a teaching associate in the School of Communication and Arts at the University of Queensland, Australia. I am also affiliate academic in the School of Languages and Cultures at UQ.
My first monograph, "Is Harpo Free? And Other Essays on the Metaphysical Screen" has recently been published with SUNY Press as part of its Horizons of Cinema Series. I am contributor to and sole editor of "Starting Over: Amnesia and Personal Identity in Film and Television," an edited collection that focuses on the figure of the amnesiac to explore the relationship between memory’s lack and personal identity. This volume is also under contract with SUNY Press and part of the same series.
