Abstract: The aims of this research are to describe: (1) the structures from Tere Liye’s novel Pu... more Abstract: The aims of this research are to describe: (1) the structures from Tere Liye’s novel Pukat; (2) the values of character education contained in the Tere Liye’s novel Pukat; (3) the relevance of structural analysis and the value of character education from Tere Liye’s novel Pukat towards Indonesian language learning materials in Senior High School.This research is a qualitative descriptive study with content analysis method. Based on the results of the study in chapter 4 can be summarized as follows: (1) Structural analysis; the theme of the novel Pukat is the simplicity of life, honesty, and compassion. The story line used is a mixture storyline. Characterizations in the novel Pukat divided into the main character and an additional character. Viewing angles are used is a first person perspective as the main character. Background used is background of the place, time setting, and social background. The dominant style of language used is metaphor, personification, simile, and hyperbole. Message that used expressed on the content of the novel; (2) The educational value of the characters in the novel are social care, discipline, hard work, creativity, curiousity, communicative, likes to read, religious, honesty, independent, caring for the environment, and responsibility; (3) Based on the structural analysis and the value of character education as well as the results of interviews conducted by teachers and students, it can be seen that a novel Pukat has a characteristic of the good learning materials. Because of that, this novel suitability of Indonesian language learning materials in Senior High School. Latar yang digunakan adalah latar tempat, latar waktu, dan latar sosial. Gaya bahasa yang dominan digunakan adalah metafora, personifikasi, simile, dan hiperbola. Amanat yang digunakan tersurat dari isi novel; (2) Nilai pendidikan karakter yang ada dalam novel adalah peduli sosial, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, rasa ingin tahu, komunikatif, gemar membaca, religius, jujur, mandiri, peduli lingkungan, dan tanggung jawab; dan (3) Berdasarkan hasil analisis struktural dan nilai pendidikan karakter serta hasil wawancara yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa, dapat diketahui bahwa novel Pukat memiliki ciri sebagai materi pembelajaran yang baik. This study describes the causes of errors and the efforts teachers can make to minimize further errors. This research is a case study with research data in the form of discourse structure and language errors in the text of fiction book reviews by student. Data collection technique s were carried out by means of observation, competency tests, and interviews. Validity test used triangulation of data source and theory triangulation. Data analysis techniques using content analysis. This research forms a Classroom Action Research (CAR) . Based on the results of the study showed that the model Think Talk Write (TTW) using audiovisual media can increase the motivation and skills of write argumentation text students from the first cycle to the second cycle. The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) preparation of teachers in teaching writing scient... more The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) preparation of teachers in teaching writing scientific paper, (2) implementation of learning writing scientific paper, (3) learning writing scientific paper, and (4) barriers and solutions in learning writing scientific paper. The research methods used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Techniques of data collection are conducted by interview, observation and document analysis. The sampling technique is done by using purposive sampling. Data validation techniques used are the triangulation of data, triangulation methods, and review of informants. The results show that: (1) teachers have made good preparation for their teaching such as preparing syllabi, lesson plans, media, teaching materials, and evaluation systems (2) implementation of learning writing scientific paper ran well. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan kualitatif strategi penelitian deskriptif. Objek penelitian ini adalah kelas X-3 SMA 5 Surakarta, sebesar 36 siswa. Sumber data yang digunakan, yaitu: (1) tempat dan peristiwa (2) informan, dan (3) dokumen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu: (1) observasi, (2) teknik tes, (3) kuesioner, dan (4) wawancara mendalam. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis kritis. Penelitian ini berlangsung dalam dua siklus.
