The D614G mutation, a non-synonymous mutation at position 614 of the spike glycoprotein, is a predominant variant circulating worldwide. This study investigated the occurrence of mutations in the crucial zone of the spike gene and the association of clinical symptoms with spike mutations in isolated viruses from Iranian patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 during the second and third waves of the COVID-19 epidemic in Isfahan, the third-largest city in Iran. Methods: The extracted RNA from 60 nasopharyngeal samples of COVID-19 patients were subjected to cDNA synthesis and RT-PCR (in three overlapping fragments). Each patient’s reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) products were assembled and sequenced. Information and clinical features of all sixty patients were collected, summarized, and analyzed using the GENMOD procedure of SAS 9.4. Resu...

Gas hydrate formation in production and transmission pipelines and consequent plugging of these l... more Gas hydrate formation in production and transmission pipelines and consequent plugging of these lines have been a major flow-assurance concern of the oil and gas industry for the last 75 years. Gas hydrate formation rate is one of the most important topics related to the kinetics of the process of gas hydrate crystallization. The main purpose of this study is investigating phenomenon of gas hydrate formation with the Presence of kinetic Inhibitors in operation gas transmission, and prediction of gas hydrate formation rate in the pipeline. In this regard, by using experimental data and Intelligent Systems (Artificial neural networks and adaptive neural-fuzzy system), two different high efficient and accurate models were designed to predict hydrate formation rate of CO2, C1, C3, and i-C4. It was found that such models can be used as powerful tools, for prediction of gas hydrate formation rate with total average of absolute deviation less than 6%.

A total of 429 data sets, included Bob and conventional PVT properties, were used. Among those, 286 and 143 data sets were selected randomly for constructing and testing the model, respectively. The mean squared errors and correlation coefficient (R) between predicted values from the modeling and experimental values in the test data were 0.0023 and 0.9731, respectively. The model, which promptitude and save in time and costs are its advantages, is more accurate than all of the previous empirical correlations.

Nusantara Bioscience 2: 34-37. Two species of hard corals includingCyphastrea chalcidicum (Forskal 1775) (Faviidae) and Coscinaraea monile (Forskal 1775) (Siderastreidae) were collected from thesouth of Qeshm Island (Persian Gulf, Iran) in the late of 2008. These species were previously reported from southern Persian Gulf, Gulfof Aden, Southeast Africa and Indo-Pacific. The literature review on the distribution of these two species revealed that these specieswere firstly recorded from the Persian Gulf. These findings further emphasize the high diversity of coral fauna in the Iranian waters ofthe northern Persian Gulf.

White titanium dioxide pigment has been produced by two main processes. The sulfate and the chloride processes. Each of these two routes requires different feedstocks. However, economic and environmental pressures are shifting the world balance of titanium dioxide production away from sulphate based manufacture towards the more cost effective and cleaner chloride route. According to usage of titanium dioxide, the nano sized TiO 2 was produced by the sulfuric acid and hydrocholoric acid leaching by using Sonochemical technique during the leaching process. No adding extra materials and no milling after precipitate, no vaporization during the leaching are advantages of this work which reduced the processes of leaching. All of determination techniques of particle size (Zeta Sizer, XRD, SEM, and TEM) prove this matter. The p...

In this paper, the relationship between the two parameters has been investigated for which, reliability functions has been used. The results imply that this relationship is not compatible with the traditional diagram used in risk analysis approaches such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and respectively, decision making based on existing approaches might be risky. One of the fundamental changes in the health system of Iran is the health transformation plan (HTP), the effects of which must be examined from different aspects. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of HTP on the performance indicators of public hospitals in Yazd city, Iran.MethodsThis cross-sectional study was carried out in all public hospitals in city of Yazd. Six performance indicators were examined monthly and in two time periods of 12 months before and 12 months after the implementation of Health Transformation Plan (HTP). The data was analyzed by SPSS software program version 22, using the paired T-test, and the Interrupted Time Series (ITS) model.FindingsFindings showed that the performance indicators of the studied hospitals have improved after the implementation of the HTP. According to the ITS model, the...

This research is applied in terms of objective and correlational type of descriptive-survey in terms of data collection. Population of the research includes two groups. The first group included employees providing service to customers of Ports and Maritime Organization of Bushehr (Iran) and the second group included customers receiving the services of the organization. From both groups, 250 people were selected using available sampling method to respond to questions of the research. To test the research conceptual model and research hypotheses, structural equation modeling was used. The results showed that job satisfaction of employees have significant positive effect on organizational commitment of employees. Also, job satisfaction and organizational commitment of e...

This phenomenon which is known as compositional grading could be significant in heavy and super heavy oil reservoirs. In these reservoirs, biodegradation and asphaltene precipitation are considered as the main reasons behind this phenomenon. Compositional grading in heavy oil reservoirs could affect fluid viscosity and vaporizing–condensing mechanism in steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) operations. In this paper, through a simulation study, one of the Iranian heavy oil reservoirs which have a significant compositional grading was selected to investigate the effect of compositional grading on the performance of simulated SAGD method. The reservoir is a fractured carbonate reservoir, and its compositional grading is maintained because of the lack of convection inside the reservoir. To verify the importance of comp...

All healthy children were followed- up over 4 periods. Periods 1 and 3 were wash-out periods with duration of 1 and 2 weeks, respectively. During periods 2 and 4 (2weeks duration each), the case group consumed 200g yogurt containing Bifidobacterium lactis (1×10(6) per gram) once daily and the control group consumed normal yogurt.
