The prototype employs Adaptive Navigation Support as an approach in providing personalized recommendation for the quiz that students must work on. With this prototype, the students can manage their quizzes better and complete more quizzes. In addition, the students are able to monitor their progress as well as their performance in particular course. Prototyping methodology was used to develop the prototype in mobile environment.
The availability of food staples in a government is very important because it will affect the mar... more The availability of food staples in a government is very important because it will affect the market price and peace. Management of foodstuffs managed by Logistic Agency (LA) is a state company responsible for controlling the availability of the country's staple food. This staple food is primarily taken from farmer partners scattered in various areas around LA. Ineffective processes make many farmers' partners resign and are inactive, as a result they are exploited by external actors who dominate stock procurement. This dominance resulted in some fraud acts in stock management. This study provides lessons from efforts to improve communication effectiveness between LA and farmer partners through the implementation of information systems. The implementation phase begins with the identification of the problem and find the points prone to potential fraud, the result is a system prototype. Finally, it was tested whether this effort has improved communication and reduced the potential for fraud in LA stock management. The result of system implementation contributes a valuable lesson. First, the satisfaction of farmers' partners to be more actively involved in LA activities after many previous partners withdrew. Second, acknowledged by stakeholder's post implementation easier to maintain stock availability. Third, it successfully closed the chance of being vulnerable to the possibility of fraud.
This paper reports lessons from implementation of a financial information system in the Indonesia... more This paper reports lessons from implementation of a financial information system in the Indonesian public sector. Such the system is complex, as it should adhere various rigid government regulations and involves various levels of government units. In developing the system, we adopted an extreme programming approach, with an ultimate goal to meet requirements defined by all levels of government units. The evaluation indicated that there were no significant problems experienced at both the upper and the middle levels. But this was not the case at the lower (sub-organization) level. Although we found that 98% of the involved users agreed that their requirements has been met, and 100% of them were satisfied with the use of the extreme programming approach, we found that the users at the lower level in general had a high level of resistance against changes, which demanded a better strategy to cope with such problem. A recommended solution includes involving them more intensively throughout the development of the system, aimed at eliciting system requirements and cultivating a better awareness among them.
