CZTS is a new type of an absorber and abundant materials for thin film solar cells (TFSC).Cadmium... more CZTS is a new type of an absorber and abundant materials for thin film solar cells (TFSC).Cadmium sulfide (CdS) is the n-type buffer layer of it with band gap of 2.42 eV. Cadmium sulfide (CdS) buffer layer of CZTS solar cell was deposited on soda-lime glass substrates by the Chemical Bath Deposition(CBD) method, using anhydrous Cadmium chloride(CdCl2) and Thiourea (CS(NH2)2). Deposition of CdS using CBD is based on the slow release of Cd2+ ions and S2- ions in an alkaline bath which is achieved by adding complexing agent ammonia (NH3). The influence of bath temperature and deposition time on the structural, morphological, and optical properties of these films were investigated. The deposited films were studied by means of XRD, SEM, and UV-Vis spectrometry. The films deposited under optimum conditions (Bath temperature, Tb =800C, Deposition time, td =70 min [S]/[Cd] =3.5) were well crystallized .

Huge amount of quality data and past experience to the analysis of this data is required to predict such scenario. In ICU, patient data is usually considered as Time series data. Forecasting time series data to predict patient status is an important research area in ICU data mining research. Data forecasting of the time series has been shown to be effective in suitable health industry decision making. This study aims to develop Simple Exponential Smoothing model and ARIMA model to forecast the hourly pediatric heart disease data in ICU.

The new algorithm, Priority Queue Algorithm for multimedia traffic (PQAM) has been developed and simulated. Analysis has been performed on TEXT, AUDIO and VIDEO data packets. It has been found by simulation that PQAM gives better service in terms of less delay in comparison to Adaptive Virtual Queue Algorithm, Virtual Queue Algorithm, and DECbit Algorithm.

Protecting the digital medical data from cyber-attacks is essential in a healthcare communication... more Protecting the digital medical data from cyber-attacks is essential in a healthcare communication system. Blockchain is a distributed as well as shared ledger-based technology which can more readily encourage information security. Blockchain approach is commonly applied for the digital crypto-currency; however, it is awaited to have future conducts in health care. Many healthcare systems today are still subordinated on the back-dated application for keeping healthcare records. Here, the main challenges faced to date are information security and interoperability. This study introduces a blockchain-based model for securing the Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Here, we have used SHA256 secure hash algorithm for generating a unique and identical 256-bit or 32-byte hash value for a particular medical record. In this manuscript, we have focused on five mechanisms (Digital Access Rules, Data Aggregation, Data Immutability, Data Liquidity, and Patient Identity) of data transition for securing the medical records at the proposed blockchain model.

Pattern recognition is the special and most pioneer research area, and especially in optical char... more Pattern recognition is the special and most pioneer research area, and especially in optical character recognition (OCR). There are many research works on designing to develop the OCR, but very few scientific contributions on improving its output. Actually, OCR is normally designed for specific purposes and one type of OCR may not give good performance to other types of script. Thus, the question arises – “Why not improve the output of the OCR itself?” This thesis is an attempt to enhance the performance of the output of Bangla script OCR applying correction algorithms. To fulfill our goal two well-known algorithms based on character n-grams and edit distance are designed, implemented, tested and evaluated. The character n-gram based algorithm ranks the words using the number of common n-grams and the edit distance uses 7 problem/language specific parameters to rank the words. The evaluation is done over a data-set of fifty documents written in Bangla script, using a language dictionary of 541.167 words. The proposed correction models successfully improve the accuracy of the Bangla OCR showing that this approach can be successfully used to improve the OCR output.

This paper presents a simple low-cost approach to produce nanoparticles using arc-discharge metho... more This paper presents a simple low-cost approach to produce nanoparticles using arc-discharge method. Unlike existing deposition techniques, this is the first instance that nanoparticles are deposited on a charge neutral substrate by arc discharge method. In an atmospheric environment, copper (Cu) has been used as both anode and cathode in the process. The use of same material in both the electrode happens to be the first use case with arc discharge method. A simple airflow has been used to direct the evaporated nanomaterials towards the substrate. XRD, UV and FESEM were employed to confirm the presence of Cu nanoparticles and its properties. XRD pattern shows a crystal size of Cu nanoparticles as 7.4 nm.
