The animation "Persépolis" (2000) deeply addresses the Iranian Revolution (1979) from the perspective of a girl, an autobiography by the author / director. In the film we can think not only about the Revolution, but also questions of identity, war, ideology and how these concepts / experiences affect the daily and emotional lives of people (children included).
History students Fabiane, Felipe and Nathália propose a class plan about the Iranian Revolution and indicate "Persepolis" as a didactic and attractive approach of the theme.
Palavras-chave: Imperialismo, capitalismo, crise.
The purpose of this article is to discuss the Imperialism and its relations among the
global modifications caused by the Capitalism crisis in the late 1870’s England, studied by autors such as Vladimir Ilitch Lenin and Eric Hobsbawm and putted in perspective by others like Aloísio Azevedo. The main thesis is that the complex and dense discussion must consider its economic and finantial developments, as well as its previous context which led the economic powers into a battle over the colonies, the
profit and its riches; process that Lenin called “Imperial War”, refering to the First
World War and the transition between the old and the modern Capitalism inside this
complex process.

Thesis Chapters

The object of this research are the conditioning factors of the diplomatic approach between Brazil and Palestine, from the perspective of the Brazilian foreign policy (PEB), in the period between 1947 and 1991. First, the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict will be approached in a historical perspective, in addition to the consequences of this for the international system, especially considering the numerous United Nations Resolutions
on the subject. Then, the political and diplomatic antecedents of the approximation of Brazil and Palestine will be observed from the actions of the Brazilian foreign policy (PEB), especially the Brazilian posture in the United Nations General Assembly, since the creation of the State of Israel (1948) until the changes in the international stance of Brazil in relation to the Palestinians, from the 1970s. The last moment of the research
seeks to understand the changes in the Brazilian foreign policy (PEB) in favor of the pro-Palestinian stance starting mainly from the Yom Kippur War (1974), covering the period from the oil shocks (1974 and 1979) to the First Gulf War (1991) and the end of the First Intifada (1993), when there was a slowdown in this approach. It is argued that the position of Brazilian pro-Palestinian authorities after the 1970s gave Brazilian diplomacy a conciliatory character in the Middle East region, in addition to contributing to the increase of new themes and actors on the Brazilian international agenda.
Keywords: Brazilian Foreign Policy; Diplomacy; Brazil-Palestine Relations; Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Keywords: Crisis; Ottoman Empire; Sykes-Picot-Sazanov Agreement; foreign policy.
