Jaap Geraerts
I'm a research associate at the Centre for Editing Lives and Letters (www.livesandletters.ac.uk) and I'm working on the 'Archaeology of Reading in Early Modern Europe', an international collaboration between CELL, Johns Hopkins University, and Princeton University (www.bookwheel.org).
I finished my PhD, supervised by prof Ben Kaplan and prof David d'Avray, at UCL in 2015. My dissertation studies the Catholic nobility in Utrecht and Guelders, c. 1580-1720, examining their marriage strategies, their contributions to the Missio Hollandica, their interaction with Protestants and their religiosity, among other things.
