Furthermore, it improves the long-term viability, consistency, efficiency, and system maintenance of energy production. However, previous researchers' proposed PV monitoring systems are relatively complex and expensive. Furthermore, the existing systems do not have any backup data, which means that the acquired data could be lost if the network connection fails. This paper presents a simple and low-cost IoT-based PV parameter monitoring system, with additional backup data stored on a microSD card. The experiment showed the prototype had been design could count how many paper out from photocopying machine and then calculate its price. The number of the paper and calculation result in rupiahs was displayed at LCD screen. This prototype have the ability to count one paper per second and 100% price calculation accuracy. This paper presents a new design of the torque and stator flux estimators for Direct Torque contr... more This paper presents a new design of the torque and stator flux estimators for Direct Torque control (DTC) for Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) implementation, which permit very fast calculations.An alternative variable word-size approach in two’s complement fixed-point format is used for the implementation, in order to minimize calculation errors and the hardware resource usage. The simulation results of DTC model in Matlab, which performed double-precision calculations, are used as references to digital computations executed in FPGA implementation.The Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) method is used to verify the minimal error between Matlab simulation and the experimental results, and thus the well-functionality of the implemented estimators. The term of PWM rectifier used in this paper is also known as AC-DC converter. The approach provides detailed information regarding the effects of each multilevel converter space vector to the distribution of input active and reactive power in the converter system. Thus, the most optimal converter space vectors are able to be selected by the switching look-up table, allowing smooth control of the active and reactive powers for each sector. Spatial diversity highly reduces deep fades of the wireless communication. Higher signal to noise ratio (SNR) requirement can be reduced by using space time coding. In this paper, the error performance of un-coded MIMO, different diversity combing methods, space time block codes and space time trellis codes are analyzed using different parameters including number of antennas, M-array modulations, trace criteria, rank and determinant. The simulation results have shown that the Bit Error Rate (BER) significantly reduces with increasing number of receiver antennas. However, the number of antennas that a mobile device can have is limited by its size and this is inconvenient for mobile communication. An impedance source buck-boost converter (BBC) prototype for renewable energy (RE) application in... more An impedance source buck-boost converter (BBC) prototype for renewable energy (RE) application in the transportation industry is proposed. Its functions include stabilizing the variable output voltage of the RE sources such as fuel cells and photovoltaic cells. The converter utilized a topology of DC-DC quasi-impedance source converters (q-ZSCs) to achieve the gain curve of the BBC. With BBC gain curve, the converter earned advantages over the two other classes of non-isolated DC-DC q-ZSCs. These advantages include ecient buck-boost capability at the ecient duty ratio range of 0:35-0:65 and continuous and non-zero gain at the ecient duty ratio range. The converter's q-ZSC topology implies using two capacitors and two inductors. These two capacitors and inductors formed two separate LC filters that provides second order filtering compared to the first order filtering in BBC. This paper proposes a shunt hybrid power filter (HPF) for harmonic currents and reactive power co... more This paper proposes a shunt hybrid power filter (HPF) for harmonic currents and reactive power compensation under a distorted voltage and in a polluted environment. For this purpose, the reference current of the shunt HPF is computed based on the instantaneous reactive power (p-q) theory with self-tuning filter (STF). In order to adjust the dc voltage as a reference value, PI and ANN controllers have been utilized. Moreover, the system has been implemented and simulated in a MATLAB-SIMULINK platform, and selected results are presented. Therefore, the results verified the good dynamic performance, transient stability and strong robustness of the ANN controller. Furthermore, the shunt HAPF with ANN controller has been found to be in agreement with the IEEE 519-1992 standard recommendations on harmonic levels.

An accurate model of balanced and unbalanced three-phase Induction Motor (IM) under balanced and ... more An accurate model of balanced and unbalanced three-phase Induction Motor (IM) under balanced and unbalanced supply conditions based on Winding Function Method (WFM) is presented in this work. In this paper, the unbalanced condition in three-phase IM is limited to stator winding open-phase fault. The analysis of presented models is shown in details which allow predicting the performance of 3-phase IM under different conditions. Computer simulations were obtained using the MATLAB software for a three-phase squirrel cage IM. MATLAB simulation results show that the oscillation of the speed and electromagnetic torque has increased considerably due to the open-phase fault in stator windings.
