Mexico's manufacturing business confidence fell by 1.1 points to 51.9 in September 2024, the lowest since January 2023, primarly due to weaker investment intentions (43.6 vs. 46.5 in August). Future expectations also softened, with the company outlook dropping to 58.4 from 59, and the country’s economic outlook slipping to 53.3 from 54.8. Confidence in the current economic situation declined to 50 from 51.1, and the company’s situation fell slightly to 53.5 from 53.9.

The manufacturing business confidence indicator in Mexico rose by 0.2 points over a month to 53.2 in August of 2024, primarily driven by a slight improvement in investment propensity (46.4 vs. 45.1 in July).
