Welcome!

I am a librarian and PhD student studying the cultural history of dinosaurs in children's culture and media.

This site was created and designed in the spirit of professors and university faculty who built HTML websites throughout the 1990s and early 2000s packed with information, suggested reading, bibliographies, and resources for students and the general public alike.

Since there is often significant overlap, I am hoping to highlight both my scholarly and personal interests on this page. Broadly speaking my area of specialty is "media studies," which is a very interdiscplinary area that can be difficult to define. Throughout the course of my academic career, I have studied everything from the early history of radio, to screenwriting for television, to the role photographs have had in shaping perceptions of history. Under the resources page, you will find resource lists on topics of special interest to me and my work, which could all fall under the "media studies" umbrella. These bibliographies include suggested reading, relevant texts and academic journals, organizations and networks, and other resources. I try to favor highlighting Open Access resources where possible.

Under the links page, I have some resources related to accessing information on the web, such as finding books and overcoming paywalls, as well as resources related to maintaining privacy online. I have have some fun stuff for finding "webcore" gifs and graphics for your Neocities site, other general fun stuff on the web, and of course, Neocities friends and neighbors. I am also have a more robust list of Open Access scholarly resources, including a list of over 100 sources for free scholarly articles and ebooks.

If you need help locating information or an academic resource, such as a book, book chapter, or journal article, please use my secure contact me and I will do my best to help you out!
