This gadget use a water flow and shows an arithmetic result with a mechanical number counter. In practice, The operator manually checks the number counter periodically. The operator makes records of the number displays by the water meter for water consumption. This process takes time and is Vulnerable to human error. In this article, we suggest an Android mobile device that calculates water consumption for the customer in real time. By owning applications that support Android smartphones, Customers can have access to their water bill at any time by creating their own account. when the subscriber account is created, the subscriber can take a picture of the water meter that will then be sent to the server for processing, and the level of consumption and any alerts will be definitely transferred to the user on his smartphone according to the picture sent. absolutely, the client will use this application by connecting to the internet.

In this work we propose a new public dataset and an automatic approach to detect and recognize te... more In this work we propose a new public dataset and an automatic approach to detect and recognize text from meter image. Unlike other techniques which extract text from the whole image, our approach is trained to detect a particular area of interest where performs the search of text. The customer remotely launches an online command to pick up the meter index, then an image is taken from meter index in order to be processed and finally send the result to the customer. In the Automatic Meter Reading literature, a few datasets are available to the research community. In this sense, we introduce a new public dataset, called MR-AMR dataset (Moroccan AMR), with more than 15000 images. This dataset has the advantage to be the largest public dataset found in the literature. Despite the complexity of the problem, our approach shows good results and low computational time.

This could be explained by deterministic factors including the rural exodus, the port, the industrial center of Jorf Lasfar, the university complex Chouaib Doukkali, the train and bus station and the provincial hospital. These factors are referred to in our work as centers of attraction. This increase has generated an important urban sprawl. The question that arises: Is this expansion due to arbitrary effects or based on scientific methods? After reviewed literature, it has been noted out that there are several methods and mathematical models governing territorial development, like the cell model applied to the Mexican town TIJUANA by Michel Le Page. Abstract With the growing demand for water resources, the need for monitoring has become a necess... more Abstract With the growing demand for water resources, the need for monitoring has become a necessity for rational and sustainable use of this resource. Water meter data collection is an essential step toward this goal. In Morocco, this task is performed manually at most once a month due to constraints related to the cost and time. In general, the consumption is estimated and calculated based on the average consumption recorded in the previous months. This causes many claims from customers because of higher invoices, which does not reflect reality. In this paper, we propose a fully AI-based system to automate water meter data collection, which is composed of a Recognition System (RS) and a web services platform. This framework offers multiple services for both customers and water service providers, such as consumption monitoring, detecting water leaks, visualizing water consumption, and potable water coverage in a geographic map. It also provides a powerful tool to help ensure accurate decision making with multiple reporting services. The main component of the RS is the Convolutional Neural Network model trained on a proposed MR-AMR (Moroccan Automatic Meter Reading) dataset. In the model test phase, we achieved an accuracy of 98.70%. Our system was tested and validated by experiments.
