Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary Command Injection via the poplib module. An attacker can manipulate mailbox state, such as deleting emails or reading metadata and specific email content, by injecting additional POP3 commands through malicious input containing control characters.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by ensuring that no data passed to the poplib module contains newline or carriage return characters.
