Dr. Brandi Sillerud is a tenured professor at Minnesota State University, Moorhead (MSUM). She currently teaches in the graduate nursing and graduate healthcare administration programs at MSUM. Her area of expertise includes healthcare policy, health informatics, strategy/leadership, nursing leadership, and healthcare operation management. She has a rich history in healthcare leadership, including experience in the c-suite. She is the program coordinator for the Masters in Healthcare Administration program at MSUM. She is a visiting professor at Chamberlain College of Nursing (CCN) and teaches courses in nursing informatics, leadership/strategy, and operational management. Her research interests include competency-based education, interprofessional collaboration, online learning/practical applications, competency assessment in healthcare leaders, and innovative healthcare delivery models. Dr. Sillerud obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota, with an emphasis on Health Innovation and Leadership. She obtained her Masters in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, with an emphasis on nursing administration. In December 2015, she became board certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She holds current registered nursing licenses in Minnesota, Illinois, and the District of Columbia.
