Prof. Gianluca Aguiari received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Ferrara in 1997. From 2004 until now, he has been an Assistant Professor in Biochemistry at the University of Ferrara. He is also a member of the "Collegio dei Docenti" for the PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnologies at Ferrara University and a guest editor for the International Journal Frontiers Cell and Developmental Biology. He has received the following awards: 2012 Best Oral Communication at the 22nd National Congress of the Italian Society of Oncologic Urology (SIUrO); the 2017 Best Poster Presentation for “Inhibition of autophagy increases the response to sunitinib in ccRCC cell lines” at the 27th National Congress of the Italian Society of Oncologic Urology (SIUrO); 2019 Best Abstract Communication for the session Basic and Translational Research in GU malignancies at the 92nd National Congress of the Italian Society of Urology (SIU); 2020 Best Poster Communication at the 30th National Congress of the Italian Society of Oncologic Urology (SIUrO).
