on ethnic relations in education in Québec by offering a detailed and nuanced understanding of diversity across the province and in its schools, and ultimately supporting the development of educational policies that are better adapted to region-specific needs in Québec and elsewhere. It should be understood, however, that typologies such as this one are snapshots of data from particular times and places and are susceptible to change. Still, this snapshot serves as a milestone in understanding the regional particularities of diversity across Québec—an understanding that has, until now, been largely neglected in the research.
