We introduce the class of enriched Chatterjea contractions, obtain fixed point theorems and
prove a convergence theorem for the Krasnoselskij iteration used to approximate fixed
points of enriched Chatterjea mappings in Banach spaces. Then we further extend these
mappings to the class of enriched Chatterjea type mappings. Examples to illustrate the

Abstract
We introduce the class of enriched Chatterjea contractions, obtain fixed point theorems and prove a convergence theorem for the Krasnoselskij iteration used to approximate fixed points of enriched Chatterjea mappings in Banach spaces. Then we further extend these mappings to the class of enriched Chatterjea type mappings. Examples to illustrate the richness of the new class of contractions and the relationships between enriched Chatterjea contractions and other classes of contractive mappings are also given. Finally, numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our theoretical results.
