Mourad Laabdi
Mourad Laabdi is Assistant Professor of Islamic Culture at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Qatar University. He holds a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto (Islamic Studies concentration), and an MA in Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on Ibn Rushd's (Averroes) legal thought, Islamic legal pluralism and juristic disagreement (ikhtilaf), and the socio-legal construction of religious diversity in premodern Muslim societies. Laabdi is Book Reviews Editor of the Journal of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
