Tom discovers the body of a dead man in a clump of trees and goes to the home of Dr. Wills to have him officiate at the inquest. Tom is in love with the Doctor's daughter, Hilda, to whom he is talking when word comes of a bank robber. With Hilda at his side Tom gives chase in his auto. Poison gas is used by the fleeing bandits with the result that the auto of Tom and Hilda is wrecked, but neither badly injured. As they start to walk back they come upon the bandits' camp. Hilda rides to town for aid on one of the bandit's horses. She arrives back with the posse as Tom is about to be strung-up. Written by
