Description

Cooling and/or freezing apparatus
The present invention refers to a cooling and/or freezing apparatus, particularly to a cooling apparatus having at least two compartments that can be closed with one door only, and a cooling system comprising at least one compressor, at least one condenser, at least one evaporator, at least one blower for circulating air in said compartments, and at least one means for regulation of refrigerant flow.
A cooling apparatus of the aforementioned kind is know from the publication of the patent application No. EP 2 224 194 A2. Said documents discloses a cooling and/or freezing apparatus having at least two compartments inside said apparatus comprising several blowers for circulating air, wherein each time at least one blower being associated with one compartment. However, said known solution have a disadvantage of the inefficient temperature regulation in respective compartment.
It is the object of the present invention to create a cooling and/or freezing apparatus of the aforementioned kind which remedies the disadvantages of the known solutions.
The object as set above is solved with characteristics of the characterizing part of claim 1. It is provided for, according to the present invention, that a vertical partition wall extending through compartments of said apparatus is arranged at a distance from a rear side of a cooling and/or freezing apparatus. Evaporators are arranged vertically with regard to said apparatus, one above the other, in a spacing between said rear side and said vertical partition wall. Further, it is provided for that each compartment is provided with at least one shelf and/or at least one pull-out drawer to receive and store goods, wherein at least one of said shelves being displaceable in a horizontal plane and serves simultaneously as a cover for said drawer.
Furthermore, it is provided for according to the invention that at least in one of said compartments a cut-out encased by a blower body is formed in said vertical partition wall, said cut-out penetrates said partition wall and fluidly connects the compartment with said spacing. A channel is formed in said vertical partition wall which fluidly connects via said blower body said compartment with said spacing. The invention is further described in detail by way of non-limiting preferred embodiment, and with a reference to the accompanying drawings, where
Fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional view, in a vertical plane, of a cooling and/or freezing apparatus according to the invention,
Fig. 2 shows schematically a cooling and/or freezing apparatus according to the invention.
A cooling and/or freezing apparatus according to the invention comprises at least two compartments, in particular embodiment a first, upper compartment 2 with a first temperature field and a second, lower compartment 3 with a second temperature field, both compartments can de closed by means of one door only. Said compartments 2, 3 are mutually separated by means of a horizontal partition wall 4. Spaced from a rear side 5 of the cooling and/or freezing apparatus there is arranged a vertical partition wall 6, preferably an insulating wall, extending through said compartments 2, 3 over the entire height and width of said rear side 5. In a spacing 7 between said rear side 5 and said wall 6 evaporators 8, 9 are arranged vertically with regard to said apparatus, one above the other, being either incorporated in said rear side 5 or slightly spaced from it. In essence, said spacing 7 represents a channel for the cooling air to circulate inside said cooling and/or freezing apparatus. Thereby, each compartment 2, 3 is provided with at least one shelf and/or at least one pull-out drawer to receive and store goods. In the particular embodiment, said upper compartment 2 is provided with a plurality of shelves 10 placed one above the other, and the lower compartment 3 is provided with a plurality of pull-out drawers 11 placed one above the other and at least one horizontally displaceable shelf 12 serving simultaneously as a cover for said drawer 11.
It is provided for, according to the present invention, that said horizontal partition wall 4 extends over the entire width of said apparatus forming on the side of said door 1, with the latter in closed position, an impassable obstacle between said compartments 2, 3, and that said horizontal partition wall 4 extends in depth up to said vertical partition wall 6. At least in the one of said compartments 2, 3, in particular embodiment in the upper compartment 2, and in the area above and/or below said horizontal partition wall 4 there is provided a cut-out 13 in said vertical partition wall 6, said cut-out 13 penetrating said partition wall 6 and fluidly connecting the compartment 2 with said spacing and channel 7, respectively. At the side of said partition wall 6 facing the compartment 2, said cut-out 13 is encased by a body 14 of the blower 14', wherein said body 14 being provided with a grid 15 for entering and/or exiting the cooling air. Said body 14 is connected by means of a channel 16 formed in the vertical partition wall 6 with a second compartment, in particular embodiment with the lower compartment 3, in order to said channel 16 fluidly connects through said body 14 and said cut-out 13 the lower compartment 3 and said spacing and channel 7, respectively. In the area above each said drawer 11 and/or above each said shelf 12, said vertical partition wall 6 is provided with an air slit 17 for entering and/or exiting the cooling air. An aperture 18 for the cooling air flow is provided in the lowermost area of the vertical partition wall 6, between the latter and the body of the cooling and/or freezing apparatus according to the invention.
Further, it is provided for according to the present invention that a channel 19 for the cooling air flow is provided in said horizontal partition wall 4, said channel 19 fluidly connecting said channel 16 formed in said vertical wall 6 and said compartment 3. Furthermore, it is provided for according to the present invention that at least one of said shelves 12 serving simultaneously as a cover for said drawer 11, is displaceable in the horizontal plane in the direction from said vertical wall 6 towards said door 1. Microclimate, particularly humidity, is controlled by means of said displaceable shelf 12 in at least one of said drawers 11. To this end, at least the drawer 11 cooperating with said shelf 12 is provided at the front side thereof facing the door 1 and at the upper edge of the shelf 12 with a flap 11' facing said vertical wall 6. In the first position of said displaceable shelf 12, that is when abutting against the vertical wall 6, said displaceable shelf partially rests with the section thereof facing the door 1 on said flap 11'. In this first position, the cooling air streams around said drawer 11 from the outside thereof only. However, when the user wants to change the microclimate in said drawer 11, the user pulls said displaceable shelf 12 towards the door 1 so that a gap is created between said vertical wall 6 and said shelf 12 through which gap the cooling air can flow into said drawer 11.
The cooling and/or freezing apparatus according to the invention comprises a plurality of temperature sensors, at least one temperature sensor 20, 21 being placed in each said compartment 2, 3, and at least one temperature sensor 22, 23 being placed either in the immediate vicinity of each evaporator 8, 9 or directly on said evaporator 8, 9, said temperature sensors detect and monitor the temperature in said compartments 2, 3. When the temperature or temperature gradient in the compartment 2, 3 reaches a certain value set in advance, said temperature sensors 20, 21; 22, 23 act by a control unit 24 upon a valve 25 in a cooling loop, said valve either reduces or increases the refrigerant inflow into the evaporator 8, 9 of each compartment 2, 3. In addition, it is provided for according to the present invention that an additional regulation of the cooling air temperature is carried out by means of at least one blower 14' arranged in said body 14, said blower 14' being placed in a manner that it provides an efficient heat extraction and temperature distribution in each compartment 2, 3. Particularly when only one blower 14' is used, additional temperature regulation of the cooling air is carried out by means of air slits 17 through which said blower 14' forces the cooling air form the first compartment 2 into the second compartment 3, for instance. In such an instance, said blower 14' being preferably placed in the area between said evaporators 8, 9.
