Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a solar cell with high conversion efficiency by a method wherein amorphous Si whose average particle diameter is not less than 500Angstrom is selected. CONSTITUTION:When the manufacturing method or the material of a transparent electrode film on which an amorphous Si layer is formed is changed, the average diameter of the particles in the surface of the amorphous Si layer is changed. Moreover, when the particle diameter exceeds a certain value, photoelectric conversion efficiency is improved substantially. If the photocell is made of the thin film of selected amorphous Si whose average particle diameter is not less than 500Angstrom , the conversion efficiency can be highly improved.
