2. Description of the Related Art When recovering used paper and cardboard, the packaging tapes are still cut and cut as they are, dispersed in water, fibers are loosened, pulped, and then cardboard is re-used. It is processed into. Adhesive tapes used for paper and cardboard packaging use rubber-based or acrylic-based adhesives that have practically sufficient adhesive strength, but the adhesives do not dissolve in water during the paper product recycling process. Therefore, there is a problem that the tape becomes a foreign substance, clogging the pipes, and making the collected paper products dirty.

In order to solve such a problem, a pressure sensitive adhesive which is appropriately dissolved in water is required. For example, Japanese Patent Publication Sho-50-3
No. 4578 discloses that a copolymer of an alkyl acrylate and a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group is made into an alkali salt to make it hydrophilic, and a water-soluble plasticizer such as a polyether polyol, a polyhydric alcohol, or a polyepoxide is added thereto. There are disclosed water-soluble adhesives.
In addition, Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-32768 proposes a water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising polyethyleneimine and a starch-based polymer compound.

However, the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive disclosed in Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 50-34578 has the following problems.
When used for kraft tape, the water-soluble plasticizer compounded in the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive gradually migrates to the paper base material with the passage of time and changes the compounding composition of the pressure-sensitive adhesive. There was a defect that the adhesive property could not be maintained and the actual adhesive strength was reduced.

Further, the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-32768 has good stability of the pressure-sensitive adhesive strength over time, but since it does not have a strong cohesive component, it is a starch-based polymer. If the ratio is low, it is difficult to balance the adhesive force and tack, and if the ratio of starch-based polymer is high, both the adhesive force and tack decrease, and even if the tape is attached to the adherend, it quickly comes off. . Furthermore, under low humidity conditions such as in winter, the water content of the pressure-sensitive adhesive naturally lowers, resulting in a decrease in the adhesive strength.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional problems, the adhesive strength of the tape is good without being affected by humidity conditions, the stability with time is good, and the paper recovery / recycle process is performed. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive composition in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive does not aggregate and is completely soluble in water.

The polyvinyl alcohol (a) used in the present invention has a function of giving a water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive an appropriate coating film forming ability to give a cohesive force, and may be a completely saponified product or a partially saponified product. However, the saponification degree is preferably in the range of 70 to 100% in order to obtain appropriate solubility in water.
If the degree of saponification is 70% or less, the solubility in water will be insufficient.

When the degree of polymerization of polyvinyl alcohol is low, the cohesive force of the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is low and sufficient holding power cannot be obtained. As the degree of polymerization of polyvinyl alcohol, the viscosity of a 4 wt% aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol at 20 ° C. is used as a parameter, and it is preferably 50,000 cps or more, more preferably 200,000 cps or more.

The water-soluble plasticizer (b) is added in order to adjust the plasticity and adhesive strength of the water-soluble adhesive. The addition amount is 10 to 160 parts by weight, preferably 20 to 100 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of polyvinyl alcohol. If the addition amount is less than 10 parts by weight, the polyvinyl alcohol is not plasticized and the adhesive strength of the water-soluble adhesive becomes low.
If the amount added exceeds 160 parts by weight, the cohesive force of the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive decreases, and the holding power of the tape deteriorates.

Specific water-soluble plasticizers include, for example,
Examples include sugars such as sorbitol and maltitol, alkanolamines such as triethanolamine and tripropanolamine, and polyether polyols such as polyethylene glycol. At least one selected from these groups is used, and it is used alone. Or, these may be used together. In order to secure the adhesive strength under low humidity conditions, sugars, particularly sorbitol, are preferable because of their excellent moisturizing effect, but the invention is not limited thereto.

Polyethyleneimine (c) means a homopolymer of ethyleneimine, which is well compatible with polyvinyl alcohol and imparts a strong adhesive force to a water-soluble adhesive. The molecular weight is appropriately in the range of 1,000 to 200,000, preferably 50,000 to 100,000. When the molecular weight is less than 1000, the cohesive force of the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive decreases, and when it exceeds 200,000, the tackiness of the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive decreases. The addition amount is 100 to 500 parts by weight, preferably 200 to 350 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of polyvinyl alcohol. If the amount added is less than 100 parts by weight, the initial adhesiveness inherent to polyethyleneimine will not be exhibited and the adhesive strength will be reduced. On the other hand, if it exceeds 500 parts by weight, the cohesive force of the water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive is lowered and the holding power of the tape is deteriorated.
