Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、自動車等の乗り物のメータの構造に関する。
〔従来技術〕
従来のメータとしては、第３図及び第４図（実開昭60−
37820号公報参照）に示すように、メータは、不透明
で、表面3aに文字１、記号２などが刻設された文字板３
と、該文字板３の貫通穴４に挿入された軸５により支持
された指針６と、前記文字板３の裏面3bに配され、且つ
前記指針６に臨むように突出して配設された導光板７
と、該導光板７の端部7aに光を当てる光源体８とよりな
る。
前記指針６は、透光材よりなり前記文字板３の文字１、
記号２を、指し示す本体９と、前記本体９内に導かれた
光Ｌを文字板３と反対の方向に反射可能なる例えば螢光
塗料よりなる反射部10とよりなる。
〔本発明の解決しようとする問題点〕
しかしながら、かかる従来技術によれば、指針６のみが
光って見え、文字板３の文字１、記号２等は夜など見え
ないことになり、別の照明手段を必要としている。又、
指針６や文字板３が共に明るいと、サイドウインド（図
示省略）等に反射して側方視界が悪化するため、その改
善が望まれている。
そこで、本発明は、かかる従来の問題点に鑑み、文字板
の文字や記号が専用の照明手段無しでも夜見えるように
すると共に側方視界の向上を図ることを目的としてい
る。
〔本発明の構成〕
本発明はかかる目的を達するために、不透明で、表面に
文字、記号などの配設された文字板と、該文字板の貫通
穴に挿入された軸により支持された指針と、前記文字板
の裏面に配され、且つ前記指針に臨むように突出して配
設された導光板と、該導光板の端部に光を当てる光源体
とよりなるメータにおいて、前記指針は、透光材よりな
り前記文字板側に配された本体と、該本体の文字板と反
対側の面に配され且つ前記光源体よりの光を前記文字板
に反射可能なる反射部とより構成したことを特徴とする
メータを提供する。
〔実施例〕
以下第１図及び第２図を参照して本発明の一実施例を第
３図及び第４図に示したのと同一構成については、同一
符号を付し説明すると、20は指針で、透光材よりなり、
前記文字板３の文字１、記号２を指し示す本体21と、前
記本体21内に導かれた光Ｌを前記文字板３に向けて反射
可能なるように、前記本体21の文字板３と反射側の面に
配された反射部22、例えば塗装された不透過の反射塗料
とよりなる。
次に作用を説明する。
光源体８より出た光Ｌは、導光板７に導かれて、指針20
の根元に集光する。この光Ｌは、指針20内に導かれ、反
射部22により文字板３の表面3aへ放出される。放出され
た光Ｌは、文字板３の表面3aで反射され、指針20は影、
指針20の周りの文字板３の表面3a上は明となり、恰も影
絵のように指針20が見えるばかりでなく、指針20によっ
て文字板３の表面3aの文字１、記号２が照らされるの
で、光源体８以外の光源が無くとも夜に識別できること
になる。更に、乗員に見える光は所謂間接光であるた
め、サイドウインドにまで達しにくいことになる。
〔効 果〕
以上説明してきたように、この発明によれば、その構成
を、前記指針を、透光材よりなり前記文字板に配された
本体と、該本体の文字板と反射側の面に配され且つ前記
光源体よりの光を前記文字板に反射可能なる反射部とよ
り構成したため、文字板専用の照明手段を別に設けなく
て良いので、製造原価が低減できることになる。又、サ
イドウインド等に照明用の光が達しないので、側方視界
の向上が得られる。更に、影絵様のメータという自動等
の常識を変える新規なデザインとすることが出来る。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図及び第２図は、本発明の一実施例を示す図で、第
１図は断面図、第２図は要部正面図、第３図及び第４図
は、従来例を示す図で、第３図は正面図、第４図は第３
図のIV〜IV線断面図である。 １……文字、２……記号、３……文字板、４……貫通
穴、５……軸、6,20……指針、７……導光板、８……光
源体、9,21……本体、10,22……反射部、3a……文字板
３の表面、3b……文字板３の裏面、7a……導光板７の端
部。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】不透明で、表面に文字、記号などの配設さ
    れた文字板と、該文字板の貫通穴に挿入された軸により
    支持された指針と、前記文字板の裏面に配され、且つ前
    記指針に臨むように突出して配設された導光板と、該導
    光板の端部に光を当てる光源体とよりなるメータにおい
    て、前記指針は、透光材よりなり前記文字板側に配され
    た本体と、該本体の文字板と反対側の面に配され且つ前
    記光源体よりの光を前記文字板に反射可能なる反射部と
    より構成したことを特徴とするメータ。
