Abstract

512,440. Safety razors. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES. March 3, 1938, No. 6728. Convention date, March 18, 1937. [Class 30] An electrically-driven razor has a swinging rod 2 which is mounted on a flexible water-tight diaphragm 4 and carries an armature 3 and a spherical head adapted to engage in a slot in a blade-carrier 7. The armature can vibrate without contact on either side with rigid parts of the device. The poles a, b of the magnet core 17 are energized by coils 16 connected to a battery 20. The magnet may be shaped so that the armature is suspended in a space between the limbs of the magnet. The end cap 10 is secured to the guard plate by clips 11.
