Abstract

1394933 Dry shavers R KRUPS 25 Jan 1973 [28 Jan 1972] 3894/73 Heading B4B A shearing head for an electric dry shaver comprises a shearing foil 20 for co-operation with cutter block 11, the shearing foil in its operative position being stretched in an auxiliary frame 22 which is removably retained in a shearing head frame 15 by retaining means 26, 27. The foil 20 is held in the auxiliary frame 22 by means of pegs moulded on the frame and engageable in apertures formed in the foil, the pegs then being rivetted over. The auxiliary frame, which is made of a resilient plastics material, is provided with lugs 26 which, upon deflection of the side webs 23 of the frame, are engageable in recesses 27 formed in the shearing head frame. In a modification, the lugs may have a part-rounded formation, Fig. 4 (not shown). In the modification shown in Fig. 6, instead of a dove-tail like formation on the lugs preventing the frame 22 from dropping out of the frame 15, additional projections 49 are provided on the frame 22 for engagement with side webs 18 of the frame 15. In a further modification the recess 27 may be closed and engaged by snap-in lugs on the frame 22.
