Abstract
1,187,305. Extruding. DOW CHEMICAL CO. 22 May, 1967, No. 23722/67. Heading B3P. [Also in Division C7] An alloy containing in percentage by weight Li 0À4-2 Sn and/or Pb 3-20 total Al 0-4 Mn 0-2 Zn 0-3 Zr 0-0À2 Mg balance is heated to a temperature in the range 300- 425‹ C., extruded at not less than 15 metres/ minute and age-hardened at 120-230‹ C. Alloys containing tin are preferably waterquenched as they leave the die.
