Description
Claims 1. An exhaust system component for a combustion engine exhaust system, the exhaust system having first and second pipes, the exhaust system component comprising a chamber having first and second pipes connectable to the first and second pipes, respectively, of the exhaust system to receive, within the chamber, exhaust gases from the combustion engine through the first pipe of the exhaust system, and to let out exhaust gases from the chamber through the second pipe of the exhaust system, characterized in that - the exhaust system component is connectable to the exhaust system with the first pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the first pipe of the exhaust system, and the second pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the second pipe of the exhaust system, and - the exhaust system component is reversible and connectable to the exhaust system with the first pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the second pipe of the exhaust system, and the second pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the first pipe of the exhaust system, and that - the exhaust system component has flow properties for exhaust gases, and silencing properties, which remain unchanged when the exhaust system component is reversed. 2. An exhaust system component according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises at least one silencing component. 3. An exhaust system component according to any one of claims 1-2, characterized in that it comprises a particle filter. 4. An exhaust system component according to any one of claims 1-3, characterized in that it comprises a catalytic converter. 5. An exhaust system component according to any one of claims 1-4, characterized in that it comprises means for heat recovery.Claims 1. An exhaust system component for a combustion engine exhaust system, the exhaust system having first and second pipes, the exhaust system component comprising a chamber having first and second pipes connectable to the first and second pipes, respectively, of the exhaust system to receive, within the chamber, exhaust gases from the combustion engine through the first pipe of the exhaust system, and to let out exhaust gases from the chamber through the second pipe of the exhaust system, characterized in that - the exhaust system component is connectable to the exhaust system with the first pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the first pipe of the exhaust system, and the second pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the second pipe of the exhaust system, and - the exhaust system component is reversible and connectable to the exhaust system with the first pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the second pipe of the exhaust system, and the secon d pipe of the exhaust system component connected to the first pipe of the exhaust system, and that - the exhaust system component has flow properties for exhaust gases, and silencing properties, which remain unchanged when the exhaust system component is reversed. An exhaust system component according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises at least one silencing component. An exhaust system component according to any one of claims 1-2, characterized in that it comprises a particle filter. An exhaust system component according to any one of claims 1-3, characterized in that it comprises a catalytic converter. An exhaust system component according to any one of claims 1-4, characterized in that it comprises means for heat recovery.
