Different configurations of schools and programs were developed and tested to see how they could work together. An action plan was put together comprised of student and faculty workshops in order to bring the idea into practice. There are challenges to executing an inter-disciplinary model including university and departmental funding challenges and politics. These can be overcome by creating a system of rewards and recognition and working with coalitions of the willing

However, there is another category of advertising which attempts to sell a secular mundane product through connection with an obvious linkage to a religious symbol. And what can be more symbolic than Ramzan. From 2006 to 2010 Olper’s branded milk was advertised in Ramzan with a special campaign. This was also supported by special packaging made for the occasion.

On the other hand there are other torts that protect freedom of expression also. Freedom of expression is guaranteed in the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and also in the European Convention of Human Rights (Articles 8 and 10), which provide guarantees and also provide actionable privacy provisions. This essay will try and present the major arguments on both sides of the fence, in order to attempt to strike a balance between the two conflicting areas.

I have spent many hours playing cricket and enjoying the view from Hillpark as a young man. When we were assigned a public space to analyse I automatically went back to the place that I knew best. This paper is based on observational research conducted over the course of 3 weeks between 28th February, 2012 and 19th March, 2012.

The problem is that in the South Asian context, it has been traditionally a problem to write such strong characters. In Indian Cinema, apart from the very obvious militant films like Bandit Queen, based on the life of the famous Phoolan Devi, there are very few examples that come to mind of films that balance the needs of being a woman, with having agency in her own life. For this reason I have chosen to evaluate four films as contrast: Arth and English Vinglish for characters with agency, and Dev D and Amar Prem on the other hand to show how characters are stuck in a certain social warp from which they cannot escape.

The results were interesting as they exposed issues around mobility and freedom of choice in the upper class

The authors will look at some of the reasons for the lack of substantial presence of Muslim characters in popular narratives particularly in filmic representations. Several internal and external reasons can be identified for this lopsided representation in popular Western culture. In Muslim majority countries, because of ideological deadweight holding back Muslims, they generally shied away from “indecent” films, except for Iranian cinema, in contemporary times. Post-9/11, Muslims became the bad guys or basket cases, in post 9/11 narratives, with most depictions being extremist and narrow minded. The authors hypothesize that it is possible to create films that are balanced and show a human aspect of Islam and Muslims, both pre and post 9-11. This paper suggests that the story be told of Muselmanner – the Muslims prisoners of Nazi concentration camps. Not only will this bring the human tragedy to Film, it will also raise the fundamental question as to why the well-told story of the Holocaust was missing this component for so long, along the lines of the lack of representation of Muslim soldiers in WW2 films. Fact-based fiction genre will gravitate the story of the Film to human misery and ideological crosscurrents faced by Muslims of Auschwitz. Through the Nazi treatment of Muslim and Jewish prisoners viewers will relate that misery, and even death, fail to serve as the great levelers of humanity – some biases survive even through them. Such was the bias against the Muslims of Auschwitz. Characters of this Film (to be elaborated in the paper to follow) – Muslim and Jewish – come from all walks of life, bundled together to suffer for the crimes of faulty lineage. Elders recall stories of harmony, youngsters plan, women are scared, men feel ashamed – all in their own ways trying to reconcile their versions of truth with the reality beholding them.

What does its popularity say about humans’ relationship to technology, and more importantly, to each other? Is it a passing trend, or the next revolution? These questions and more are at the center of our research project. Using qualitative research methods, and design research techniques, we aim to explore the possibilities, hindrances, and benefits of wearable technology. More specifically, we sought to explore smart eyewear, as it relates to issues of privacy and security.
