Jets blitz

HERO

Tim Tebow seemed to validate all of the critics’ complaints about his game for 56 minutes. Then he pulled on the Superman cape, driving Denver 95 yards on 12 plays and scored the game-winning TD with 58 seconds remaining in the game. He ran six times for 57 yards and completed three-of-five passes for 35 yards to finish the game with 68 yards rushing on 11 carries and 104 yards passing on 9-for-20.

UNSUNG HERO

Jets running back Joe McKnight was forced into an expanded role when starter Shonn Greene was knocked out of the game in the first quarter with injured ribs. McKnight went for 59 yards rushing on 16 carries and catching six passes for 62 yards.

ZERO

Mark Sanchez, who failed to lead the Jets offense all night, never looking comfortable in the pocket and looking like his mechanics were off. He finished 24-for-40 for 252 yards and a killer interception that Andre Goodman returned for a 26-yard touchdown with 4:25 left in the third quarter, tying the game at 10-10.

KEY MOMENT

The Jets got the ball with 7:26 remaining in the game on the Denver 47 with a 13-10 lead, and went nowhere. They went three-and-out on two runs and an incomplete pass and gave the Broncos the ball back with 5:54 remaining, setting up the game-winning drive.
